Air Canada L1011 Tristar in 1:500

Hi Folks,
I just stumbled across something interesting for meand maybe one of you can prove me I am wrong....

There are 4 L1011 of Air Canada made in 1:500 scale.
1 Herpa, 1 StarJets and 2 made by IF500.
It is one of these 2 I have not found the model flying ever in that livery....

https://database.diecastmodelaircraft.com/model/21119

Have googled around, also of course with the reg, but none of the planes wore this mixed liver. Either they were with red letters only and then no black window shield and maple leaf next to letters or they were, but then only with black and not red letters.

Anyone more clue, especially in what time period that livery would fit ?

Re: Air Canada L1011 Tristar in 1:500

I think they mixed up the liveries. The delivery colors had black titles, black antiglare shield and the red cheatline was curved near the cockpit windows. Later colors had red titles, no black antiglare shield and no curved cheatline near the cockpit.

This model seems to be in the delivery colors, but the titles are indeed wrong.
They should be black.

That's my assumption as well, Leo. I couldnt find any trace if this livery, also not in my few Tristar books.

So, what is the take away of this ? Not only Herpa does mistakes, but also the others like in this case IF500.
