Re: Hobby Master HA3537 RCAF CF-18A Hornet "Nightmare 01" 409 Squadron, Cold Lake

Nice to see all the armament recommendations made it along with the older Nitehawk targetting pod.

The double AMRAAM launchers under wings are an unexpected bonus - although these were first used (one at a time only) during the enforcement of the Libya No Fly Zone in 2011. Personally I would choose to display the LGBs under the wings.

Some additional details for this release (which were passed on to Hobby Master and made it onto the model).

Photos from Hazer's Flightline website.

Below the canopy on the port side is the name of the Squadron's Commanding Officer LCol Todd Balfe. Todd was actually one of my flight instructors on the Tutor during my RCAF days. He is now serving as a Brigadier General. There are also markings noting two separate ground incidents that occurred on this aircraft.

Below the canopy on the starboard side is the name of the Squadron's Chief Warrant Officer Dennis Cormier.
