The words really don't matter. I think everyone has experienced this situation. The wheels have barely touched the ground. An FA asks passengers to remain seated until the parking position is reached. Some idiots do the exact opposite and get up, grab their stuff, block the aisle and head for the exit. Only in this case, the door is opened before the jetbridge has arrived. As a result, Mr Important falls off the airplane and breaks some bones... "fortunately" his insurance will cover the hospital bill.

I thought it was too funny when he fell. I don't think an insurance should cover stupidity, but never mind...

Hi guys, I'm not really sure what makes a video 'cool' or otherwise, but I thought I'd add one of my own here because my aviation interest revolves around filming aircraft. Even if this doesn't fit the cool category I hope you enjoy it.

I filmed this FedEX Boeing 757 at London Luton - the first time i've seen one - and wasn't expecting the go-around. I hope you enjoy, please visit my youtube page for more videos otherwise I can post some here from time to time.

It's always nice to watch (!) a go-around. And a superbly executed video!

Here's another one: Landing of an Il-76 in Kabul, filmed through the nose window! Too bad it's missing part of the final approach, but I guess it's for security reasons.

In the description, it said that it stayed on until near cruising altitude/speed, so it was a very tough beetle :P. Also, the wind blowing against it probably made it stuck to the A380.
I guess this video explains all those d**** Japanese beetles in Atlanta. They must of got a free flight, and hung on.

Re: SU-35 Flanker crazy pilot!

That's actually a Su-33, a variant of the Flanker made just for aircraft carriers. That video shows how maneuverable the Flanker series is known to be, almost getting to the point where he performs a Pugachev's Cobra across the deck!

I imagine using a large aircraft like the Su-33 on a ship that is not necessarily large like the Kuznetzov is like getting thread through a small needle. I still wonder how things would have been had they finished the Ulyanovsk though, as from what I understand, the Kuznetzov class was really meant just a short term "Shoe-in" between the Kiev class, which mostly supported the Yak-38s and helicopters, and the Ulyanovsk while it was being developed (which in most ways, would operate a lot like most American and French carriers today). Sadly for the Soviet, and eventually Russian navy, the Ulyanovsk was scrapped in the early 1990s due to budgetary constraints,

See the runway? I don't :P
A rather strange airport.... A beach on Scotland's Island named Barra.

Here is the landing....

<iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/LzatxVUTTLs?feature=player_detailpage" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Notice the takeoff done at a totally different heading.

Another fascinating airport in Nepal, Lukla.
Apron looks like a shopping center parking lot and the planes "driving" out into the highway.

Do not know if this downhill runway process could be called take off:P
Would hate to land there knowing its a downhill runway with death at the end!

Thanks for sharing. Too bad Southwest only use state flags, and Colorado's is ... less exciting, considering what the State of Colorado has to offer. That said: I'll take a 1:500 model of this one any day.

There is a documentary I saw on Netflix about American Airlines on the Wii. It was called "Inside American Airlines, A Week In the Life." by CNBC. Anyway, it is about 90 minutes long or so, and it its really good. It was made in 2009, And I suggest you look at it even if you aren't an American fan.

There are also to good documentary's on the Su-27 and the MiG-29 on YouTube, I will put the links here.

What happen if you get a flat tire before V1. Not much room to abort the takeoff, is there?

Don't worry Jay! You are very close to the Gods up there;) They will keep you safe!

After all, it's got wings;) After a few hundred meters of dive it will get enough speed to glide:P

I seem to remember (from a documentary!) landings are always uphill. There's no chance for a go-around because of the mountains. You only have a choice of where to crash. And I don't think rejecting a take-off is an option.

Yup. "The worlds ten most extreme...AIRPORTS!" showed a few clips from Lukla. Landings are allways uphill to help slow the planes down so they don't hit the wall, literally.

Well not really, the landings are always uphill because it's impossible for them to land downhill due to the geography of the area...

Ok, partly to help them slow down. That's what i heard. But i do know the geography makes it impossible to land downhill.

Even if it was downhill landing, it would be one hell of a job to stop the plane in time, unless you have a huge chute attached to the tail.
