Hong Kong sellers

Hi all

My latest business trip will take me to HKG. Was just wondering if anyone could tell me of any 1/500 retailers in the area??

I will be staying in the excelsior so anywhere near there would be ideal

Thanks

re: Hong Kong sellers

Apparently Toymax is the best for prices and deals. Here's the site link Toymax Co. for Aeroclassics, Herpa, GeminiJets, Patriot, Andrea, Pegaso

There are shops everywhere in HK.
Check the Herpa site to find them and visit the Expresso Wings store.

Silly question. Cathay pacific and oneworld raise no results on either website. Strange seeing as Cathay is based is HKG. Are they called sowmthing different maybe?

CX models are airline exclusive. They are available at HKG airport (and you can order them from CXcitement), but I'm not sure about elsewhere...

No, CX and KA set their retail price so price should be the same across HK, including shops in the airport (except some small local model stores)

So does that mean Cathay models are available outside of the airport too?

There's a place at Langham mall that sells the same KA and CX models that you will find in the shop at Terminal 1. Other than that, I think you might have some luck at west main toys if you ask for CX models at the register. Not sure if they have any 1/500 though. The thing is, any CX or KA models made by any other manufacturer than Herpa/Hogan/DW are likely to be unlicensed models and for that reason the shop keepers can't keep them in the shelves in their stores where they would be visible. You have to know what you are looking for. Hope this helps.

You can buy it from a shop call 80m in Hong Kong. They do have a few shops in around Hong Kong.

For your reference: 80MڤhM - 80M Bus Model Shop

I do recommend westmain toys in Prince Edward. The shopkeeper is very nice and easy-going. You could try to get some discount from her if you purchased a large amount of it.(e.g. I get 15% off last time when I purchased 40 models from her)

re: Hong Kong sellers

West Main Toys...You can look up their address on their website. I live here in the United States and order from them frequently.
