I'm just getting back into the modeling after many years away. Of course the internet has taken a lot of the joy out of browsing through the local hobby shops that I remember as a kid, back in the Jurassic period.

I'd like to buy a Junkers Ju 52 model kit. I can find 3 brands online so far in 1/72 scale.

Airfix for $29.12 Italeri for $18.45 and Hellers for $57.74 (and an Airfix Ju 52 with pontoons for $79.00) I'm wondering about the difference in quality of the different manufacturers. Obviously I want to expand my search for better prices, but I shocked at the difference for the same scale kits.

I think the Heller one is a very old and rare kit therefore the high price. I would go for the Italieri kit.
