Taking care of model airplanes
 
Hi,
Im new to model airplane collecting, I was just wondering as to how to do you take care or do you have any tips in caring for your model airplanes?

I have a cabinet that closes tight stopping dust from entering reducing the need for dusting and also lowering the chance of accidental damages. hope this helps

Thanks for your reply! I am making a model airport so my planes would be exposed, i could just put them in a cabinet after im done.

Also avoid direct sunlight as it may cause yellowing and/or zink rot! :)

Thanks for the tip! :) I heard that people put wax coating on their planes, do you have any what those are?

hi, everyone, I usually use many tools which help me caring my models, may be you can advise me some more sites where I can find more tools for my collection?

Zinc rot is not caused by direct sunlight. It is caused by zinc contamination with for example lead or antyhing else. It's the same situation like with water - if it's contaminated it's not good to drink. If zinc is contaminated it's not good to make moulds with.
