G'day....

This diecast is a B777-300ER. It is an Aeroflot by JC Wings.
It's model number is JC4AFL330.

umm no.

all JC wings releases are either JC####, FL####, or XX####

or are you trying to create some new identification schema?

G'day...

Um... I Hope not... This is how it was explained to me... wrongly it seems! I will of course amend my statement and take what you have said as the correct way JC Wings and Flightline do things.

I apologise both to you Gordon, anyone else who read what I wrote before and of course Jeff.

no apologies needed. The problem was started by ADI who distributes them. They use Gemini Jets style numbering for their own use.

but JC Wings releases are all JC4### (or JC2###)
Flightline releases are all FL4### (or FL2###)
and all "unbranded" releases are XX4### (or XX2###)

of course there are some that do not have "known" product numbers such as some of their Cathay releases...

Same goes with Phoenix.

Phoenix's releases are all PH10### for legitimate releases and PH04### for their "secret" releases. (or maybe PH410### / PH404### if you want to differentiate 1:400 & 1:200)

There are some variances ... like PH810701 (HL7611) and PH154101 (Polish Tu-154) and some product numbers are not known (especially the early stuff) which is why they are given Gemini Jets style product numbers.

AeroClassics has used a number of different schema ... from 18### to Gemini style numbering ... to simple AC+reg# (minus hyphens) like ACB1002 for a model of B-1002

Re: Update for Wings 35301 (NO CHANGE - Explained)

G'day Jeff...

And others... A big thankyou to Gordon for a wonderful explanation So the people to blame for the model number JC4AFL330 are the Distributers ADI who use this style of numbering for their own use.

The actual model number in this instance is XX4330 which is the model number shown in the Database.
