EDIT: The main difference: ID#18212 is a 747-283BSF while ID#18340 is a Boeing 747-283FSCD. So they are technically different variants.

I'm also wondering why such a crappy picture for ID#18212 was accepted?

Sometimes (rare models) it is better to have a crappy picture than none (will be replaced by better ones when available).

Actually they are identical, because SX-FIN was a B747-283BSF. I updated ID 18340 and "soft deleted" 18212. Thanks for your advice.

re: what's the difference between these two models? (FIXED)

G'day

Lou here, I recently took over the updating and management of the wings900 'model database my collection forum' and '1:400 database' (after Carlos decided to leave after many years of sterling service) and have in my short time here found several instances of model being duplicated. This clearly is another one.

The problem in the past has been the site did NOT offer any way of deleting models on the DB. This has now been changed (at my insistence) and as of now I have already deleted the original listing with the crappy photo.

If you or anyone else comes across any other alleged duplications, please notify me via this forum and I will look into it and if found (Like Gordon has) to be an actual duplication, I will fix it pronto. I do hope that by late 2013 the database will be back to being as accurate as humanly possible. With members help, I'm sure it can be

Cheers Lou
