Wings900 1:400 Rackenville International Airport

Hello there! Now I've back making model airports. I've done my latest model airport. Its name is Rackenville International Airport. It's in 1:400 scale, the airport is located in the Atlantic Ocean, precisely near St.Maarten ( fictional ). It has got 2 gates for widebody aircrafts, 4 gates for narrowbody aircrafts, and 1 multiputpose gate ( for widebody and also narrowbody aircrafts ). Here are some photos of it.

The overwiew of the airport :

Delta Fanjet Flight 987 is taking off to Los Angeles :

Thai Airways Flight 345 has just arrived from Bangkok. And behind the aircraft there are Garuda Indonesia Flight 666 from Jakarta ( left ) and a Southwest B737-700 under reparation after a hard landing ( inside the hangar ) :

Iberworld Flight 833 ( left ) is waiting for the last passanger before a flight to Madrid. And the AeroMexico Flight 222 ( right ) has just landed from Mexico City :

Best Regards

Beautiful indeed! Where did you find the cardboard to create the buildings and the tower (particularly beautiful!)?

Wings900 Re: 1:400 Rackenville International Airport

It's time for today's update. I've added some trees around the airport area, a jet barrier near the international terminal, and an airport logo on the wall that says "Welcome to Rackenville International Airport". I hope you enjoy this update!

From right to the left, Air New Zealand Flight NZ 3432 has arrived from Auckland, Alaska Air Flight 4355 is preparing for take-off to Seattle, and ANA Flight 6587 from Tokyo is loading its passengers :

A C-5A Galaxy has just arrived after a 4 hours flight from Langley AFB while carrying some supplies :

Garuda Indonesia Flight GA 232 to Jakarta is waiting the C-5A Galaxy to park at the gate :

From left to the right, Oman Air Flight 4353 from Muscat is unloading its passengers, and Air China Flight 6847 is having its final call before a flight to Shanghai :

Airport overview :

Okay, that's all for today's update. Any comments and suggestions are very welcome!

Best Regards

Wings900 Re: 1:400 Rackenville International Airport

Hi everyone! It's time for another update to keep this airport's thread alive. Recently, I've bought some new diecasts and an Airport GSE set. They cost much for me but that's okay. Let's get back to the topic, there are some new airlines in the Rackenville Intl. which are Batik Air from Indonesia and SAA from South Africa. The airport is currently full of narrow-body aircrafts, but there are still some wide-body aircrafts in the airport. I have turned around the airport so you can get a better view of it. Hope you enjoy this update!

From the left to the right, Batik Air Flight ID 325 from Jakarta is currently unloading its passengers after a long haul flight from Jakarta with an Airbus A320-200 ( equiped with Sharklets ), and Garuda Indonesia Flight GA 262 is preparing for take-off to Medan.

From the left to the right, South African Airways Flight 7311 is loading its passengers before a return flight to Cape Town. On the right, you can see ANA Flight 1239 has just arrived after a flight from Osaka.

From right to the left, British Airways Flight BA 9317 from Heathrow is currently loading its passengers before a flight to Dubai. On the right there's Alaska Airlines' Boeing 737-400 that's waiting its crew to arrive before a return flight to Anchorage.

China Eastern Flight 4281 has arrived a few minutes ago after a long haul flight from Guangzhou. The ground crews quickly unloads the flight's passengers and cargoes before it's scheduled to depart to Los Angeles at 14:00.

Eurofly Flight 3583 has just touched down from Rome, the pilots are professional so the plane touched down smoothly only a few hundred metres from the runway's begining.

And finally, the last but not least, the airport overview.

Okay folks, it's the end of today's update. Hope you enjoy it! Any comments and suggestions are very welcome.

Best Regards

Wings900 Re: 1:400 Rackenville International Airport

Hi! Sorry if I've bumped this thread, but my airport is still alive and it has just been renovated. For example, I have changed the airport grass with color sand used on model railroads, then I have added some bushes around the airport, and also I have made kinda scrapyard near the airport, but it hasn't been complete yet. Ok, so let's get on to the pics !

A Star Alliance Livery Austrian Airlines Airbus A330-200 is currently unloading its passengers after quite a long haul flight from Vienna

An Allegheny Douglass DC-9-31 is preparing itself for a flight to Pittsburgh

A New York Air Boeing 737-300 is currently stationed at the gate for tomorrow's flight

A Batik Air Airbus A320-200SL is ready for a return flight to Jakarta-Halim Perdanakusuma

An ANA Boeing 747-400D flying the Pokemon special livery has just landed from Osaka Kansai, the ground crews immediately prepare the jumbo back for another flight ( sorry if the jet's body texture is cracked )

A Thai Airways Boeing 777-300ER is pushing back before takeoff to Bangkok

An old American Airlines Lockheed Electra is currently waiting to be scra... uh.. I mean restored to a museum

An ANA Airbus A321-200 flying the Scenic Film special livery has just landed from Aomori

A South African Airways Boeing 737-800 is waiting a Garuda Indonesia Boeing 737-800 to takeoff before taking off to Durban

A Garuda Indonesia Boeing 737-800 flying the old livery is waiting an Oman Air Airbus A330-300 to enter the parking stand before taking-off to Jakarta-Soekarno-Hatta

An Oman Air Airbus A330-300 has just landed from Muscat and the jet is entering the arrival gate now

A Martinair Boeing 767-300 is landing at Runway 27 after a flight from Amsterdam-Schipol

Notice that I have added some bushes around the airport and I have also changed the grass with a color sand used on model railroads

Last but not least, the airport overview!

I think that's all for this update, and thanks for coming to my thread this time. I might add a new terminal and a cargo terminal on the next update so stay tuned. Any comments and suggestions are highly appreciated and very welcome.

Best Regards

Re: 1:400 Rackenville International Airport

Nice airport, but I think you should stop mixing eras.
Allegheny Airlines and New York Air are long gone, how are they going to be in the same airport as a Batik Air plane? I know this is a model airport and we are free to let our imagination fly high, but realism is always better...

Nice work mate.
I prefer to paint my airports but this looks pretty cool and I love the mix of airlines!
I for example have bmi Baby and British Airways B727's flying around together so it brings another dimension to the whole diorama.
