Hi all!
Rackenville International Airport has just got a new look . It has just opened a ramp at the east side of the airport which capable for 12 narrow-body aircrafts. The runway has been lengthened to. This major renovation is not complete yet, there are some more things to add like the cargo terminal, the brand new Terminal 3, the maintenance centre, and some more jetways.

The new airport overview

An AeroMexico B788 at Gate 1

Construction at the new maintenance centre

Any comments and suggestions are very welcome .

Best Regards

Re: 1:400 Rackenville International Airport

Hello folks, how are you all? I hope you guys are doing well in these strange times. I think it has really been a while since last time I went online here. University has kind of taken its toll towards my free time lately.

Regarding the model airport itself, I have managed to get myself some free time last month and renovated it. Got myself some diorama grass mats, LED lights for night-lighting, and a bunch of other stuffs that I could use to renovate the airport.

Here is the official promotional film of Rackenville International Airport that I uploaded to YouTube recently:
https://youtu.be/MmZV8r9W0rk

The airport has recently been re-opened to the public, with Abel Jets Virtual Airline operating the inaugural flight. The airport now also sports “The Heaven on Earth” as its slogan to attract more tourists into the island. Seen here is an Abel Jets Virtual Airline Flight 221 operated with a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner (G-AJMA) with Trent 1000 engines in the Boeing Commercial Airplanes livery coming in from Indonesia's capital city of Jakarta during the dusk golden hour at the airport. The inaugural flight was celebrated with water cannon salute and the airport's CEO delivering a speech after the flight's arrival.

G-AJMA touching down on Runway 09 as seen close to the runway.

Another view from the control tower.

The Dreamliner landing seen from The Flyer Hotel.

G-AJMA following a “Follow-Me” truck as she rolls herself onto gate one on the newly refurbished wide-body terminal.

“Simulated” water-cannon salute as the aircraft gets closer to the wide-body terminal.

The Dreamliner rolling into gate one.

Jetways are connected, welcome to The Heaven on Earth!

I think that’s all from me for now, I’ll try to post more updates about the airport when I got the free time to do so. Other than that, thanks for visiting this thread and as always,

Best Regards

I like that you have included much scenery and plant foliage. Some nighttime views showing the lighting would be great! It is great that you are back and giving us updates!

My gratitudes for the warm welcome, mate!

On the other hand, I don’t really know if it’s a coincidence or not, but the night-lightings are included on today’s update! Of which I’ve planned for the last two days.

Seen here is Garuda Indonesia Flight GA700 from Jakarta touching down at Runway 09 as part of the country’s flag carrier inaugural flight to Rackenville. The airframe itself is a Boeing 777-300(3U3)ER, registered as PK-GIK, in the airline’s “Hockey Stick” Retro Livery. The Triple-Seven will connect Jakarta and Rackenville during peak hours and days. She will also connect Rackenville with other long-distance international routes across the Pacific.

PK-GIK as she rolls out from Runway 09.

The Triple-Seven taxiing towards the international terminal.

Parking brakes set, and there is where she will take a rest for the night before heading back to Jakarta on the next day.

That concludes today’s update! I’ll try to make the next one as soon as I have the time to do so! Other than that, thanks for visiting this thread, and as always,

Best Regards!
