Wings900 Tool thread for the Airport Model Creator

I just had this brilliant idea where creators of model airports can add their tools, their inspirations or sources used to make an airport, terminal or ground whatever.

I hope I can get my fellow model airport creators to add their sources to this thread, let this be an informative and a tool thread to go to when one need inspiration and one can ask questions or for help for how to make a certain thing for his airport.

Let me start off with something that are just important to have on the ground, namely the markings. We don't see that often included as some focuses on the terminal or everything else.

Re: Tool thread for the Airport Model Creator

That is honestly a great idea! Now people can share WHERE they get custom textures, what airports in real life inspired the design and such.

Hey there.

A small regional airport normally have 6m wide GSE road while larger airports usually have 8-9meter wide.. Just check Google earth for confirmation. Adjust your ruler to meter or feet.

6 Meter road is in 1:400 scale------= 1.50cm
8 Meter ------------------------- = 2.00cm
9 Meter ------------------------- = 2.25cm

Hope this helps.

About a quarter of the size of a UK postage stamp!! 6mm x 4mm - absolutley tiny, but that is for true-true representation. This a another resource I use for stand numbers...
