Wings900 Lighted Palm International Airport

Hello again. About two months ago I posted a thread explaining the project I would soon be embarking on for Palm International Airport. I was planning to light my gates at the airport with the Herpa 1/500 Gate and Street Light System. Two months later and a lot of hard work and I have finished the first of two boards. I finished the two inch tall wooden grid on the bottom of the board early in the phase. This was created to keep the board elevated two inches from the wooden supports. This way when I set the board down on the supports the light wires or lights would not be crushed. Then I connected it to the board using wood glue and drilled the board in. Then using spackle I spackled over the drill holes, sanded it down, and repainted the board. About two weeks ago I received the main set of lights that contains six lights, a transformer, and the power pack. As well I bought two packs of the individual lights for a total of 10 lights. I drilled the holes to size and then inserted the lights. Then I drilled in the transformer into the board and put the cover on. After that came the hard part. I had to put a little clamp around the two metal bars of the lights. The hard part is is if you push on one side it pushes the metal bar out of the light and you have to repair it. After about one hour I had all the clamps in. I really thought it would be a shorter process. Then I wired them up and did a test run. Sadly 3 of the 9 lights wouldn't light but the others were creating so much light I didn't care. Here are the pictures of the finish product. Please by kind with comments I am not very good at this sort of thing but really wanted to add it to my airport.

I believe Herpa sells the exact same light sets in 1:400 so that should work well for your airport.
