Adding People Inside Gemini's Terminal

I just finished putting about 50 mini "people" inside my Gemini Airport Terminal. I used flat, brass, ship figures that are made in 1:350 scale (available here: Toms Modelworks). And considering that in real life people vary in size and height dramatically, I think they're perfect for any 1:400 or 1:500 scale project. All I had to do was pop out the four window segments in each section (they are loosely glued however a few cracked on me) and super glued the little figures on after painting them black. The two small end pieces are much easier to work with because the backside of the windows are accessible without breaking them off. The figures are very hard to notice when the lights are off in the terminal but when illuminated, they are quite visible. This is just one of many custom touches I plan on adding to my terminal/next airport. If you have any more questions about the process, let me know.

I just love seeing the ingenuity of our airport builders - that looks sensational! What a great touch!

Re: Adding People Inside Gemini's Terminal

Excellent idea. Are you having problems with the railings on the jetway stairs breaking off? I have had several on mine that I had to epoxy back on.

Yes! I know they're loose so they adjust with the jetway height but they are always falling out on me. I just put up with it since I have no idea what I could do to fix them.

Thanks for the positive feedback everyone!

Re: Adding People Inside Gemini's Terminal

Hey wn737,I have a couple of questions about the terminal:
1. do the single jetways have enough spacing between each other? i looked at some pics closely on the gemini website and the widebody airplanes' wings are REALLY close...
2. to connect the jetways to the terminal, do you just push 'em in to slots or is it really complicated?

i would appreciate your help as I finnally have it on order

ps: does anyone know the shipping cost of the terminal to singapore cos nick isnt the fastest person to reply....

Yes, the jetways have enough space between each other. Some of them may not be able to adequately fit wide-bodies, but most are far enough apart for 757's and smaller aircraft. The jetways have a small, round rod at the end of them which fits snugly into the terminal. There are just enough slots for each jetway and, most of the time, they fit perfectly.
