Amsterdam "Schiphol" 1:500

Hello Guys,

I want to show you my first part from my AMS scenery. It took 10 years from the planning phase to be finished now. All parts have about 2.5 square meters. This terminal is Pier E- one of the international terminals in AMS. This scenery is from the fornenonn of the 9th of August 2019. My focus was on the realistic painting of all the GSE. My special thanks for the help and support for the realization go to Thom and Ale.

Re: Amsterdam "Schiphol" 1:500

Really stunning diorama! I love the amount of GSE
Reminds me of when Thom had his AMS diorama aswell!!!

Good to see the KLM Jumbo - I guess Schiphol isn't the same without them.

Re: Amsterdam "Schiphol" 1:500

Welcome back to AMS in summer 2019. The 2nd part is pier F- my favourite- also an international terminal with most of KLM longhaul flights. In this batch you can see 3 KLM 777 on F2, F4, F6. On F8 there is the KL 744 from SFO. On F9 KL 705 789 to GIG. On F7 the CI 74 77W to TPE. On F5 KL757 77W to PTY and the last on F3 KL 661 789 to IAH. I decided to make 4 overwing bridges and 4 double bridges with a gate house. You can also see the entrance/exit to the baggage center. I hope you enjoy the pics. I will try to share part 3 next week

Re: Amsterdam "Schiphol" 1:500

Wow, the 10 year dedication to the project definitely paid off! The final result looks great with everything coming together to create a realistic diorama of Schiphol. Super job with painting the GSE - I imagine it is quite difficult to do. Speaking of that, this might be the largest amount of GSE in an airport diorama that I have seen!

Re: Amsterdam "Schiphol" 1:500

This is how an airport could be: full of GSE creating a perfect, spectacular and eye-catching "controlled-confusion".
Thanks for sharing my friend, more pics please.

Re: Amsterdam "Schiphol" 1:500

Many thanks for all your compliments my friends. You are right, one of my main points was to find solutions for the many of different GSE and to paint it so realistic as possible. I tried different things to get skills to paint these tiny pieces. I will try to share the next batch at the end of the next week.

Re: Amsterdam "Schiphol" 1:500

There is a buzz of activity in all of these airport scenes, and having so many GSE vehicles at each airplane's side adds to the sense of motion and vibrancy. Wonderful airport!
