1:400 Lisbon Airport model "Humberto Delgado International Airport"

Hello everyone. During the pandemic, I've had a lot of time to work on a project that I've always wanted to build. It's a 1:400 model of Lisbon Airport in Portugal. I have both the 90's livery and new livery of TAP Air Portugal to place on the model which gives me two time periods to display. Currently I have completed the ramp and most of the painting on the taxi ways and ramp areas. Began a few weeks ago making the terminal and infield buildings. I do have a few videos on YouTube showing the progress. Looking forward to receiving more aircraft to fill on gate spots. Here are a few photos of my progress.

Really nice representation of an airport that I love. Flying in to Lisbon, coming in over the red-tiled roofs, is especially dramatic. You have done a great job here, and the exposed girders are an outstanding detail. The roofline on the terminal is particularly well made. Thanks for sharing this project with us!

One more thing--everyone should check out the YouTube videos of this project--they are great! The curved roadway leading to the tunnel is an outstanding--and difficult to make--detail. Well done!!

What a beautiful realization! What did you use to make the terminal building? How did you realize it?
Great job, compliments.

Thanks. I used pine wood for the terminal as well as balsa wood for the trim pieces. I also used adhesive caulking to put it all together.

Very interesting project, great to see the old TAP livery on your airport
TAP should have an A330-900 in these colors. Would be fantastic!

Thanks. I agree, TAP should paint an A330neo in these colours. Would look amazing!

Update to my 1:400 Lisbon Airport. Today I added all my GSE to the Airport. Terminal still in progress but looking good so far. I have a lot of gas but still need more to create the scene I want. All the planes on the model right now are all TAP Air Portugal featuring the three main liveries they had since 1960. For videos of the progress check out: on the Air planes YouTube channel.

Wonderful update, the TAP L-1011 is amazing, among the best L-1011s ever.
The pics are really nice.

Thanks, I agree with the TAP L-1011. It's my favourite plane of all time. Was lucky to fly on it twice!

I am jealous! TAP's Tri-Star indeed was an amazing beauty--never flew on her (but I did trips on their A330 and A319 aircraft). I love your airport and have enjoyed looking at all of the pictures, because it truly captures the essence of Lisbon. Thanks again for sharing this project and Happy Holidays!

Thanks for the kind words Pete. This is exactly what I was going for with this project. Looking forward to continuing it in the new year and will post more updated photos. Happy Holidays to you and your Family.
