Funny how Herpa was the pioneer with a 747 with open doors in 1:500, but let that go. Now, other manufacturers are killing it in 1:400

Thank you. I admire the work Herpa did with the select models that featured the open doors. I have a few that I am proud to have. I know some were static open, and some of the nose doors especially were easily moveable without having to remove parts. I guess Gemini Jets is now leading the way in this sector.

Your words are highly appreciated with how much I admire your 1/600 showcase.

Re: 1/400 Model Airport 2020
This will by my last post on this thread for a while. I am currently working on a new project, which is going to be a long work in progress and does not represent that of anything in the UK. I guess one reason during lockdown is it's giving me something to do while on furlough.
In the meantime I will be posting some 1/500 content on my 1/500 diorama thread with better lighting since I've moved that downstairs while the 1/400 project takes shape.

Your subject aircraft represent a great cross-section of aviation, and are always well-photographed. The latest pictures here are no exception--superb display!

Wow. Very cool. Can you share what paint you used, especially for the tarmac? Color? Thanks.

I usually use Reeves ready mix paint (black and white) mixed together to create the shade or shades of grey I desire. However on a recent project I used Dulux paint test rollers.
