1980's to Present Day - Model Airport in History

I was trying to think of a suitable name for this thread. I haven't got a name for this airport yet. I guess with the dales setting the scene as the background you could say its somewhere in the Yorkshire region.

The new project is still a work in progress but I am able to start showing you photos of models on the diorama.

I plan to travel back in time. Not all years will follow consecutively but will follow in order.

We start off in 1981 with the visit of this Hapag-Lloyd A300-B4 on a summer charter.

I could not have put it better. That excellent A310 (Aeroclassics at their best) is of course gorgeous too!

Re: 1980's to Present Day - Model Airport in History

Can't wait to see more pictures of this fine project! Always nice to see the Classics. The Hapag Lloyd A300 is a beauty for sure!
I really like how your background foil blend in with the diorama, very smooth.

I also have my own plans of a 1980s/1990s airport, but it might take a while before it sees the daylight. Next year, perhaps...

Superb diorama, complete with background and highly detailed surroundings. The Hapag Lloyd A300 is also a very clean looking bird!

Nice work on your background perspective, the blending between background photo and your dio is good.

Well done.

Re: 1980's to Present Day - Model Airport in History

That Anglo Cargo 707 is a beauty!!!
The 80s and 90s were so full of freighter 707s, too bad they quickly vanished by the end of the 2000s.

Re: 1980's to Present Day - Model Airport in History

Your photos of the approaching jet with the background and modelling grass really show the possibilities in this diorama setup, utalizing all the angles available to highlight your work done!
