Thanks my friend. I agree with you Ale, we need these in 1:500 scale. I’m surprised that WestJet B767 hasn’t yet been made. How are things in Italy, my friend? People are very indisciplined here with minimal social distancing and violations of lockdown specially by politicians. The migrant workers are stranded and are walking miles to their homes, some of them have unfortunately died on the way. I don’t know when the lockdown would finally end. My next update will feature...any guesses? I’ll share it at the weekend. Stay safe, my friend.
Ale, I’m missing updates on your YUL thread, my friend!

- Cal.
Thanks for your wonderful reply, Cal. Unfortunately I don’t have one yet but I’d like to. I had to buy 2 models last Sept. during my Calgary trip and I bought Delta and United B737s. I promised my mother that I’d buy only two (which I did). I will have another update very soon, my friend, any guesses as to which aircrafts might be featured? I’ll give u a hint, they’re late afternoon arrivals, my friend. How are things at your end? It’s tragic here with so many stranded migrant workers wanting to return home but due to lockdown, they’re unable to.
Regarding the other thread, I like the BA A350-100 as well, as you’d expect. This aircraft operated the inaugural BA99 to YPM, if u remember. There’s something special about A350s. Since I have no space for more models, I won’t be adding to the fleet, unless I win a lottery and buy a mansion, then I’ll probably buy about 20 more which are on my wish list. I’ll have an update ready for u all by the weekend. Stay safe, my friend.

Re: Toronto Pearson International Scale Model Airport (YPM)

Italy Homzie??? Ahahahahah...Italy had the last serious Government 80 years ago! With all the mistakes, the tragedies, the dramas, the horrors of Fascism. This to tell you that we are shipping in the dark: everyone in the government is divided about everything! EU helps, which EU helps, why ask EU helps, if ask EU helps, what Covid-19 is, what Covid-19 makes, if Covid-19 is real...left and right parties, all the same!
And we about us Italians? As you probably know us Italians are like gypsies: without a "Duce" we aren't able to follow the same, stright way! So, at April 24th, the streets are full of cars, people are walking all together, masks and gloves are "ghosts", if you find a FFP3 mask in the pharmacy it costs even 30 euro!!! Nobody allowed makes anything to avoid this.
I am really demoralized, really disgusted and i can't think about what will happen next May 5th, when phase 2 will start with the re-open of shops...
We are lucky that Covid-19 is not Ebola my friend, because we really don't know the way to struggle against this virus.

It would be great to see a new livery Air Canada A330 in your collection Homzie! It's sad to hear that your collection may have reached it's limit. Space is a problem for all of us, which is why I tend to sell older models once they get upgraded with new ones. If I had the space, of course I would love to keep them all! Which models are on your wish list if you are able to add more models in the future?

In regards to the situation, it's definitely an interesting one. Five weeks in we're still not allowed to leave our homes - thankfully I'm able to continue my work from home, but many have been temporarily laid-off or find themselves newly unemployed. The situation where you are doesn't sound too good Homzie. I really wonder how the world will look in a few months time...

Are you planning flights to Tokyo "Narita" and/or Johannesburg "O.R. Tambo"?
I am realizing them!

I agree my friend, the virus has brought normal life to a standstill. I wonder too as to how the world will look after its finally over, hopefully cleaner! there are many YYZ based planes I don't have such as CX A350, PR A350, Air Transat A330-200, a few Air Canada planes such as A220, CRJ-200, United Express CRJ-550, United Airlines A319, American B757 and A319...and more! I may have to sell before I buy some! I'd buy AC A330 in new livery if I get the chance. My next update is...coming soon!

Re: Toronto Pearson International Scale Model Airport (YPM)

Toronto Pearson International Scale Model Airport (YPM)
Day 2 – Jan. 21, 2020
Evening Departures – 04:50 p.m.. to 07:30 p.m. (with a late night departure)
Current Local Time at the Airport – 04:00 p.m.
The weather is still -18C this evening and the sun has set making it for beautiful time for spotting (if you enjoy spotting in freezing cold weather!)

At the Gates:
1. After arriving from YUL as AC481, Air Canada A321 C-GJWO is seen prior to her departure to San Francisco International Airport (SFO) as AC753 dep. 16:40 from Gate D1
2. After arriving from Houston as AC592, Air Canada Express Embraer E-175, C-FEJB is awaiting guests to Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) as AC7536 dep. 17:30 from Gate D3.
3. KLM Royal Dutch Airlines flight #692 being operated by B747-400 PH-BFT is awaiting her return passengers to Amsterdam dep. 19:05. She is the first of TWO KLM B747s today! Thom, my friend, this is for you! I'm missing the KLM B747s in the skies too...
4. British Airways B747-400 G-CIVL "oneworld" will operate BA92 to London Heathrow today dep. 19:15 from Gate E84.
5. The third B747 of the day is the German Queen (Lufthansa) D-ABVR operating the return LH471 to Frankfurt from Gate E32 dep. 19:20. She is not the last one of the day, ofcourse!
(Lufthansa will operate B747-400 on Mon. to Thu. and B747-8i on Fri. to Sun.)
6. Air France flight 356 to Paris is being operated by B777-300/ER C-FZND from Gate E82 dep. 19:30.
7. Etihad Airways B777-300/ER arrived early at 15:00 and is seen resting between flights. A6-ETA has the honour of being the first EY flight into YPM. She will late depart to Abu Dhabi as EY140 dep. 22:40. She will land in AUH 14 hours later.

Ale, unfortunately there is no direct flight to JNB from YYZ so, there is NO flight connecting YYZ to JNB. Sorry, my friend!
Thom, my friend, though B747s are retired, they'll be seen on daily Toronto rotation at my airport!

That's all from this update, stay tuned for more late night flights...any guesses which aircrafts/flights will be featured in my next update??? I hope you all enjoyed this update and are staying safe at home!!! Yes, it gets boring at times but we will come back strong after it is finally over!!!

Really nice update my friend, it's good to see so many B747-400's still flying here at your Toronto diorama! I think the Lufthansa B747-400 is perhaps my favourite of the three because I don't often think of Lufthansa as a B747-400 operator - I always think of the B747-8 and A340-600 when I think of Lufthansa. The Etihad B777-300/ER is also a very nice model - I wish I had this one in my collection!

Strange, look at this:

"few days ago a study of the Kusuma School of Biological Scienses of the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) and some declarations of Doctor Luc Montagnier (Nobel Prize 2008, the doctor who discovered HIV in 1983) let us know that Covid-19 could be a "laboratory virus".
Indian scientists and Montaigner say that in Wuhan laboratory were studying a vaccination against HIV and, instead of creating a good thing like a vaccine, created a monster like Covid-19.
Why they say this? Because "IIT Delhi" scientists, studying Covid-19, isolated four amino acids perfectly equal to those of HIV! It is impossible that a "natural" Coronavirus changed becoming more similar to the HIV.
But even these studies have two questions:
1) how is it possible that, while creating a vaccine, the result is a more lethal virus??? Instead of a vaccine they were studying how to create a kind of biological weapon?
2) how is it possible that a virus can "escape" from a laboratory?"

About NRT, there will be a Toronto - Narita flight very soon!!!

Thanks for your reply, Cal. Lufthansa will operate B747s to YPM as will BA and KLM, though they (and some of BA ones - IVJ, IVL, IVM and IVN) are retired! I agree that Lufthansa A340-600 and B747-8i are icons, both will be seen at YPM in the future. Infact, LH470/LH471 is operated by B748 on weekends, my friend! Regarding the Etihad B77W, I was lucky to get this model because, as usual I was debating and fortunately, I made the right choice! Stay tuned for my next update! How about your airport? Stay safe and stay at home, Cal!

Ale, my friend, it was a fantastic idea to do a thread for the B747s! Grazie, mio amico! Stay tuned for my latest update which will bring to a close operations on a very busy Day 2! The lockdown has been extended till May 17 (in India) how about Italy, Ale? Stay safe, my friend!

Thanks for your kind reply m friend! Not to worry, as long as KLM B744s are in my fleet, they'll be operating KL691/KL692 rotations from Amsterdam at my airport! I'm sure you must be missing them in the skies as much as I am with G-CIVJ, G-CIVL, G-CIVM and G-CIVN, Thom! Stay safe and stay at home, Thom!

Re: Toronto Pearson International Scale Model Airport (YPM)

Toronto Pearson International Scale Model Airport (YPM)
Day 2 – Jan. 21, 2020
Late Night Departures – 10:00 p.m. to 01:45 a.m. (Wed., Jan. 22)
Current Local Time at the Airport – 09:00 p.m.
The weather is still -18C tonight making it hard for the spotters to do spotting at night, if they are brave enough to spot aircrafts on a freezing cold winters night here in Toronto! As you'd expect, it is freezing cold here in Toronto and the local time is 21:00 which is a very busy time for International Departures.

At the Gate
1. Turkish Airlines B777-300/ER TC-JJM is awaiting her return guests for flight to Istanbul Sabiha International Airport as TK018 from her Gate. Dep. 22:00
2. Etihad Airways B777-300/ER A6-ETA is being cleaned up before her return 14 hour journey back home to Abu Dhabi International Airport as EY140. Departure 22:10 (You all saw her in my previous update too!)
3. British Airways B777-300/ER G-STBG will operate the 2nd daily flight to London Heathrow International Airport as BA098 from Gate E84. Dep. 22:15
4. KLM B747-400 PH-BFH is the second KLM B744 of the day operating the second daily flight to Amsterdam Sciphol International Airport as KL696 from Gate C33. Dep. 22:20
5. Air Canada B777-300/ER C-FIUL returned from London Heathrow earlier in the evening and will return to London Heathrow as AC858 from Gate E77. Dep. 00:50 (on Wednesday, Jan. 22)
6. A very rare aircraft - Cathay Pacific B777-300 (non-ER) B-HNI operating the 15 hour CX829 home to Hong Kong International Airport. Dep. 01:40 (Wednesday, Jan. 22).

This brings to an end a very busy and a very hectic Day two which saw flights depart for Calgary, Montreal, Vancouver, Halifax, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Abu Dhabi, Istanbul and London Heathrow and even a flight to Honolulu! Day 3 operations will start very soon which is equally busy to Day 2! There will be an EK A380 featured on Day 3, any guesses as to which one would operate EK241 from DXB?

R.I.P. G-CIVJ, G-CIVL, G-CIVM and G-CIVN and all KLM B744s! However, all of them will be seen at my YPM Airport in the near future!

Re: Toronto Pearson International Scale Model Airport (YPM)

Another interesting update Homzie - nice to see all of these B777's on the ground at your Toronto airport. The British Airways B777-300/ER is a real beauty, as is the Cathay Pacific B777-300 - I don't think these leave Asia very often, but the Cathay Pacific livery is superb.

As for my airport, I sadly won't be posting any more updates until things start to get back to normal. This is for a couple of reasons - most airports and flights are not operating at the moment, and, as I'm currently working from home, I no longer have any space to setup my diorama since the desk I normally use has had to become my office!

- Cal.

Thanks for your reply my friend...somehow, I managed to convince myself that I require 4 new models but not sure how I'll get them as there is lockdown till May 31. Any guesses which ones? All come to YYZ! About the CX B773, it is a rare occasion when it has come to YPM! You're right, Cal, they don't leave Asia very often! I'm sure you're going to like my Day 3 Operations as well, my friend!
