Afternoon Departures - 12:00 pm to 04:00 pm
At Gate B1a, WestJet B737-800 C-GJLS is being readied for her noon departure to Vancouver (YVR), British Columbia as WS709. She will depart a little late at 12:15 pm.

At Gate B1b, another WestJet B737-800 is being readied for flight number WS250 to Halifax, Nova Scotia, which later departs at 03:30 pm.

Meanwhile, at Gate E73, the only A380 compatible Gate, Emirates A380 A6-EUK is being prepared for her 14 hour journey back home to Dubai as EK242, departing at 01:55 pm. This was the very same aircraft which took me to Toronto as EK241 in June 2017.

The tiny aircraft at Gate D1, is Air Canada Express Bombardier CRJ-200 C-GWKR being readied for the 12:30 pm departure to Detroit, Michigan as AC8919. This is the shortest flight operating out of Toronto Pearson International Scale Model Airport lasting only 40 minutes!

Boeing 757-300/WL N589NW arrived late from Atlanta, GA as DL2569D at 12:45 pm instead of her scheduled arrival of 11:45 am, and is taxiing towards her Gate. Therefore, DL8944 to Cleveland, Ohio will later depart at 03:30 pm as DL8944D and not at its scheduled departure time of 03:00 pm.

Hope you all liked this update, my dearest friends!!! My next update is...coming soon!

Interesting updates Homzie - your A380 gate is looking good with the triple jet-bridge setup! It won't come as a surprise, but the Delta B757-300/WL was definitely my favourite model on display in this update!

Thanks for your very kind words, my friend! You're now officially the Roman Emperor of Scale Model Airports, Ale!!! Wonder how many airports are you going to construct and how many are going to be Canadian Airports? I reckon, Montreal Pierre Trudeau (YUL) and I recommend Vancouver International Airport (YVR) with International schedules, my friend!

Thanks for your very kind words, Cal. I knew that the Delta B757-300/WL would be your favourite. You're right about Gate E73, the only A380 compatible gate at my airport. I've tried to make the schedules and Gate numbers more realistic and mirror those at YYZ.

An update is coming later this evening which features two domestic flights and three trans-border flights, any guesses??? I'll reveal all that...very soon!!! Stay tuned for further news and updates.

Interesting setup with the jet-bridges here Homzie - I think your ground staff will have a difficult job pushing that Delta B737 out Anyway, this is a nice selection of models on display - the pair of WestJet B787's look great!

Thanks for your reply Cal. The ground staff did have a tough time with the Delta B737-800 at first but, they managed. They've been dealing with the snow and the tight schedules for years now, they're very experienced! It was snowing heavily that day (Jan. 20) with around 10 cms of snow and temperatures of -17C with wind chill making it feel like -25!! The two WestJet B787s do look wonderful together, don't they? My next update will be sometime next week and will feature European long-haul departures, my friend!

Re: Toronto Pearson International Scale Model Airport (YPM)

Toronto Pearson International Scale Model Airport (YPM)
Monday, Jan. 20, 2020
Evening Departures 06:00 pm to 07:30 pm (current local time at the airport - 05:30 pm)
Winter Weather Update
The current temperature at the airport is -20C (with wind chill making it feel like -27C) but, fortunately, the snow has stopped falling since yesterday and the runway and the tarmac have been cleared of snow which fell on Jan. 18 and Jan. 19. The aircrafts have also been de-iced and will be ready to fly soon. There are NO delays due to excessive cold weather!!!

1. The first European departure is KLM Royal Dutch Airlines B747-400 PH-BFW (City of Shanghai) resting at Gate C32, prior to her 06:05 pm departure back home to Amsterdam as KL692. This is the first of two KLM flights to Toronto! PH-BFW landed as KL691 at 04:05 pm. The other is KL695/KL696 (which will be featured in a future update!)

2. Lufthansa upgraded LH470 from the daily B744 to B747-8i today. D-ABYS operated today's flight from Frankfurt which landed at 04:05 pm. The German Queen is being readied for departure back home to Frankfurt as LH471 from Gate E73. LH471 will depart at 06:20 pm

3. The 3rd European Queen is the daily BA93 from London Heathrow. G-BNLY in "Landor" Retro livery will operate the return BA92 today. She has the honour of being the very first BA B744 at YPM and is currently, the oldest in the fleet. G-BNLY is awaiting passengers at Gate E84. The 7 hour trans-Atlantic hop will commence at 06:25 pm. This is the first of two daily flights, the other flight (BA99/BA98) being operated by a mix of B777/B787/A350 aircrafts.

4. At Gate D1, Air Canada A330-300 C-GFAJ is being readied for the 5 hour trans-border trip to San Francisco as AC739 at 07:05 pm.

That is all for this update, my friends! I hope you liked it as much as I did sharing this update with you...Some longhaul flights would be featured in the next update, any guesses?

Nice selection of models on display in this latest update Homize - I knew it wouldn't be long before a SpeedBird appeared on your new diorama! The Lufthansa B747-8/I is stunning - this model is also due to be featured in my next update! I'm hoping Gemini Jets will release another Lufthansa B747-8/I in the current livery soon.

Good to see the KL691/KL692. I arrived just yesterday on KL691 at YYZ, albeit with PH-BFY. We did have a different stand though

Thanks for the reply, Cal. I hope everyone is safe from harm at your end! I had to add a SpeedBird B747 to my airport, without which, it would be incomplete! The Lufthansa one is an upgrade from the regular B744 which usually operates LH470/LH471 rotations. I'm hoping that GJ releases B748i in new livery soon...

Lot's of B777-300/ER's in this update Homzie! My favourites have to be Air Canada (New Livery), and Turkish Airlines examples - I wish a model of the latter was in my collection! Having said that, I'm a big fan of the British Airways A350-1000 too.

Charter airlines lover
I desperately want...all charter airlines still missing!

Primera, Monarch, airberlin, XL Airways France, Germania, Small Planet, WOW, Aigle Azur, Sterling, Thomas Cook, Adria, Air Italy/Meridiana...R.I.P.
The sky is not the same without you!
