Re: New York Metropolitan International Airport

I just enjoyed scrolling through this thread over breakfast. As plenty of others have said, your terminal and ramp are fantastic. Phenomenal work! And a great mix of aircraft too. That newest Delta 757-300 from GeminiJets looks very sharp. Thank you for sharing your creation with us.

Thanks for the kind words DeltaFan! The B757-300/WL is definitely one of my favourite types from my now substantial Delta fleet - Gemini Jets did a great job with the particular model you mentioned. This diorama has only been up and running for a few months so far, so there are plenty more updates and photos to come!

Re: New York Metropolitan International Airport

Wonderful network updates my friend. I really like the Alaska Airlines new livery, which I think is very classy, so, I'm looking forward to that route, I like the American Airlines B777-300/ER too, so, looking forward to that South American route and any airline using a mix of B77W and A350-900 is wonderful, Cal. So, I'm expecting a very colourful update this time!!!

Thanks Homzie! Anyway, I agree, Alaska's livery is wonderful! The B777-300/ER also looks great in American's livery and I'm happy to now have a trio of these in my collection. My next update will be a colourful one for sure, so do check back for that!

I'm looking forward to that update my friend. I wish Alaska Airlines had flights to Toronto as I would've had them at my upcoming airport. Cal, my airport will be ready soon!

Re: New York Metropolitan International Airport

This is another wonderful update, my friend! It was definitely worth the wait. I really liked the Delta updates, the WestJet to YYC, Air Canada Express to YOW (I have both aircrafts in my fleet as well). However, I wish Alaskan, Virgin and Qantas were operating to Toronto, as, I would've surely kept a daily flight operating at my airport. Cal, you may see an update next week with a certain new favourite of yours!!!!

Great update featuring a lot of different colourschemes Cal! I'm a huge fan of Delta's T-tail aircraft, as well as the fresh look of the Alaska A321neo!

Thanks Thom! I'm a big fan of Delta's T-Tails too and I hope to be able to keep them operating here for a few more years yet! The photo of the MD-90 at the gate with the B717 in the background was one of my personal favourites this time. Alaska's A321NEO is stunning! I think their new livery suits the A320 family very well.

NEWS
  • South African Airways has increased the frequency on their Johannesburg - O. R. Tambo to New York service to a daily rotation following the introduction of Airbus A350-900 equipment to their fleet. South African's iconic Airbus A340-600 will continue to operate this service as per the already established schedule, with the new A350 filling in the alternate days where there was previously no service.

More updates to follow!

Cal, I'm actually excited about this new route to Johannesburg Oliver Reginald Tambo International Airport!!! I like the SAA A350 in new livery, my friend! As rare as A340-600 is, I'll miss them in our skies once they're gone!

It's not a new route Homzie, the flight has just been increased to a daily rotation with the new A350-900 joining the existing A340-600. I'm also fond of the A340-600 and I hope South African continue to operate their examples for at least a few more years!
