Thanks Kev, I'm glad you like my airport!

It would be great to see an American diorama from you too - do you have any locations in mind? If I remember correctly, you have a good size American Airlines fleet already and you're beginning to build-up a United fleet as well. Depending on which US airline is your favourite, you'll definitely have a good selection of locations to choose from if you decide to make a start on an American diorama!

Sounds great my friend, I'll look forward to seeing the orange Expo 2020 A380 as this is the one I would've picked up if I was still collecting Emirates models..!

Thank you, I'm glad you like my setup! I don't have any plans to expand the layout at the moment - I worked hard design everything so that it fitted on to the boards shown here! Having said that, I may look to include some more taxiways and possibly a runway threshold in the future.

NEWS

China Southern Airlines announce service to New York from a second Chinese city - Wuhan. Commencing Monday 2nd September, China Southern will complement their existing non-stop Guangzhou - Baiyun service with an additional scheduled service to Wuhan - Tianhe. The new service will be flown with a newly delivered Airbus A350-900 and will operate seven times a fortnight.

Etihad Airways will open a new service between New York and Abu Dhabi, commencing Sunday 1st September with new Airbus A350-1000 equipment. The service will initially operate seven times a fortnight, with the hope that it can become non-stop if additional equipment becomes available.

Prime Air have announced that they will begin cargo flights into New York from two of their existing operating bases: Cincinnati - Northern Kentucky [KY] and Tampa [FL]. Both services will be operated every day by an Atlas Air Boeing 767-300/ER-WL-F aircraft painted in full Prime Air colours.

Another beautiful updates Cal, sharp/perfect pics of this airport. The traffic is amazing, i can't wait to start with my IAD and Sea-Tac, especially after looking at the traffic at this great airport.
Beautiful also the cargo area, the Prime Air B767-300WL makes it even more interesting.
Positive rep. added, especially for the traffic and the cargo area.

Lovely update. My highlights are the Ethiopian 77W and the El Al 772. Two very rare aircraft that I really enjoyed seeing. I also loved the 737Max's, three very unique models. I look forward to the upcoming updates, further seeing the variety that your collection offers.

Thanks Homzie, the new Air Canada livery looks great on the B737-8! Glad you enjoyed the update though - I'm really enjoying the variety of traffic that I can share with this new airport. You will love the Delta B737-800/WL and B737-900/ER-S when you get them - meanwhile, I'm eagerly awaiting the United Airlines B737-800/S in the new livery! Good luck finding all of the models you listed during your travels.

Many thanks for your kind words and the positive rep. Ale, it is always appreciated! The standard livery Prime Air B767 with winglets was a wonderful release - I just had to pick this one up! I'm really looking forward to seeing more traffic at your new IAD diorama, and of course I'll also be watching the progress on your SEA diorama too my friend.

Thanks 'Skyteam67', glad you enjoyed the update! The Ethiopian B777-300/ER is fantastic - it's another great aircraft/livery combination. As for the EL AL B777-200/ER, this is definitely a rare model - I was lucky to find it when I did, so I wasted no time picking it up for this diorama! Hope to read your comments again when I post the next update - I'm aiming to show some Asian traffic next time.

Thanks all!

- Cal.

Re: New York Metropolitan International Airport

Cal, I’m going shopping for the Delta and United Airlines models probably this week and have already ordered the NG American Airlines B738 to Mumbai which will arrive after my return. However, the WestJet B737-7 is unavailable as I found one on eBay which was a good deal but I delayed my decision of shipping, hence, missed out on it.

The two NG WestJet future releases will arrive via US when my mom’s brother comes down in November! However, Phoenix announced good ones such as the two KLM ones but I’m using B744s for both AMS-YYZ flights. Anything for you from the new GJ or the Phoenix releases, my friend? Thinking of getting Alaskan B739 but not sure if it flies to YYZ.

Thanks Leo, I'm glad you enjoyed my photos! I'm surprised at the amount of positive comments I've received about the B737 MAX's - I had expected to see a lot of negativity around the MAX's being included in the update, but it's been the exact opposite! Let's hope Boeing can get the problems worked out allowing the MAX to take to the real skies once again.

I hope you find the models you're looking for Homzie! The WestJet B737-700 isn't a recent release unless I'm mistaken? It will probably be quite difficult to track another one of those down, but eBay is always a good place to look.

The Alaskan B737-9 looks like a great model - if you don't yet have an Alaskan model, then I would definitely recommend it! I currently have three models on pre-order: Alaska B737-9 [GJ], United B737-800/S 'New Livery' [GJ] and the DHL B777-200/LR-F [PHX]. Will you be picking anything up from the latest Phoenix release?

- Cal.

The 737 MAX is a great jet, just need to have the MCAS problem fixed.

Real enthusiasts wish to see it fixed for good and back in the skies!

Re: New York Metropolitan International Airport

Well Cal, I don’t think I’ll be picking up anything from the Phoenix releases (if I feel like splurging, which at the moment I don’t), I may add KLM B77W. However, I’m concentrating on North American B737s to add to my Toronto fleet. I’m trying to curb the fleet as it’s turning very expensive for me to maintain the high standards by collectors here! Hence, I’m only buying what I really need!

You’re right my friend, the WestJet B737-7 is an old GJ release, I hope I can find one soon as I need an aircraft to do the Montréal rotation when my airport finally matérialisés.

Regards the Alaskan, I may order it if they start Anchorage Toronto flights...until then, I’ll wait...
