Paul's 1:500 Herpa airport with RWY/TWY lightning

Hi everyone, I want to present you the standard Herpa airport I built. I made it modular, so I can reach the window.
Recently I was able to buy the Herpa lightning set by a happy coincidenc. So I started illuminating the whole Airport (TWYs, RWY, apron lights, Tower and lights in the terminal). Finished some days ago, I now want to present you the result! I drilld over 750 1mm holes and equipped each with PMMA optical fibre.
I hope you guys like the airport.
Have a great day
Paul

Very interesting, Paul! I like your last pic, showing the DHL fleet. The AeroLogic 777F is a nice one!

Welcome to Wings900! Lovely set-up you have there. Despite it being a Herpa Basic Set, it doesn't show as you've gone through great ways to customize it! I too like the DHL fleet shot!

Thanks
I used 1:400 LED lamps from eBay and glued them together with the standard Herpa flood lights. The size matches perfectly.

Thank you very much.
As I'm from Leipzig and our airport has the DHL hub, a DHL fleet is a must have for me. I wish there would be 1:500 Kalitta and Polar Air Cargo models.
