Can you clarify exactly who are now the moderators for this site? It seems as though most of the prime moderators, who were either former owners or dedicated enthusiasts who committed their time to helping them, are no longer performing that role.
Can you also clarify whether you will be updating the database, with which you have a major interest, or whether this will be delegated to others? A number of new photos, notes and occasional new model for the database have been posted on the relevant sticky thread. It is not clear who will now be uploading them onto the DB.
Thanks in advance for your reply. I know a lot of members are anxious about this.

That's exactly what I want. Stop telling us you're the owners and updates are coming. Just tell us for gods sake. Some of these members have been here when Wings900 was Wings500 and want NOTHING to change. Why is it only the database? Why not the whole site? I would rather the gallary be updated than the database. The DB is easy to navigate. The gallary isn't. Some pictures suck, while others are repeated. As far as I know, there's 2 admins. Who both are rarely on. Why not bring back Carlos, and Rex, and CO777? Why kick them out? Make Doc an admin. Or Charter. They're both loyalty around here. Even LOT. That guy's pretty damn good also. Knows what he is talking about.

Re: Forum & Database Update
Sorry for the double post, but lets run something down.
Baskingshark - Member since 2010. 32 posts. 2 (of the same. Good job.) threads. Rep. Flying under the radar.
Masmedia - Member since 2012. 4 posts. 0 threads. Rep. Flying under the radar.
Guys have, combined, been members for only 3 years. 2 guys out of the blue come in and take over. Can you guys tell us a little about yourselves? Where you come from? This forum is like family. We all know each other. Some members have met each other. Some members are widely popular. I just don't think this suits you. If you guys bring in a bunch of nobodies to run this forum, I'm out.

Thanks for what you said and for your words and appreciation.
I don't know what will happen, maybe nothing of really important if many of us will ask for a "painless" change!
Things that make me think are the "disappearance" from the Forum of members like Alexakos (and we all know who he is and what he has dedicated to Wings900) and Faucett Peru (the same for him, the database has reached the importance and the perfection it has thanks to Carlos)...very strange.

Re: Forum & Database Update
How about showing a little gratitude toward the new owners for keeping Wings900 still going?
Throwing a ***** fit at this point seems a bit premature,since we don't even know what changes will be made if any.

...and why the Best Model Airport Awards is held in another Forum instead than in Wings900...
I think that when a member has dedicated so much time, energies and, why not, money for a forum's life (and i'm not talking about me), he deserves of something more than and handshake! Also because in any system that works well (from an hospital to a soccer team to an important industry) only a fool, once in command because of the ownership change, would go away all the good people who, for years, have made this forum almost perfect.

I dont think the threat of you and charter leaving is the best way to convince the new owners to do what you want.

For some reasons:
1) Wings900 has 15.438 members (a small town), it is a very much "alive" and "vital" website;
2) Wings900 is one of the most important sites in the world concerning the modeling, has many contacts with other sites and is closely connected with DAC. For this reason it is very attractive from the economic point of view (i imagine you can do many money).
Said that, as regards the sphere of money that you can do with it, there are some more reasons that regards the "romance" of being collectors:
3) Wings900 is full of great people, with great collections and a great competence about the diecast world;
4) when you buy something you have rights and duties, and one of the duties is to preserve the economic, human/social and cultural values of the things you have bought. The human/social value is the family of Wings900 Forum, while the cultural value is what Wings900 Forum expresses in the network, that is one of the most important community of spotters, models collectors, airport builders of the World.
I have searched many other websites, and i can tell you that the majority of them have 3.000 members max and the contents are not even comparable!
This social and cultural value can not be lost: i thanked the new owners for their presentation, of course, and i absolutely do not judge them because i do not like to judge (only God can do) and because i do not know them. I don't want to be prevented against them, but there are some things i really don't understand. If i buy a site like Wings900, my love for the collecting world, my love for the hobby, my love for the members of this Forum would lead to look for people able to carry out the work exactly how it went so far, and i would ask to people like Alexakos, Rex, Faucett Peru, mmu69 (and, why not, Charter) to help me.
But you must have passion for the hobby, and not only passion for money!

Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't realize I didn't have the right to freedom of speech. For now on, anything I post I'll run by you Mr. President.
Let's see what changes have been made. Rex, a great person of this forum. Updating the database, expressing his views with us, is gone. Carlos, another great person of this forum. Updating the database faster than you can say plane. Always looking out for us. CO777, another great person of this forum, posting his marvelous trip reports with us is gone. Now tell me. No changes have been made? THREE of the greatest people of this forum are gone.
Dos. I did not state that I would leave if the changes they made, would make me leave. I was saying, I mainly come to this forum for Charter. To see his airports and his museum collection of models. The only thing I want. Is the forum to stay the same. If we can get enough members, to state that they want the forum to stay the same, I bet it would. If they saw all the members that would not want changes they wouldn't want them to leave. I'm pretty sure if Charter left, I wouldn't be the only one to leave also.
