Landing Comparison B744, A380 and B748F

This is my shots inside Changi Terminal 2, I noticed that there is something wrong with the approach of B747-8F? Is it normal? thanks!

I'm no expert but my lay eyes tell me his horizon is a bit low however he has time to correct just before touch down.

There's quite a few aircraft that come in with a negative angle, then obviously bring the nose up for the landing.

Notice the position in comparison to the other two.
They are almost touching the trees with their main gear.

The Cargo freighter was coming in to high so he needed to drop some altitude fast. Since he has only cargo and cargo has no stomach, sudden maneuvers are no problem to them.

Now if he gets in lower on the runway... he has more time n space for a smooth touchdown.

I think it's all down to each PIC how they land the aircraft. Some approaches with negative angle, other days a little different. Although we have seen this type of approaches on other types such as the IL76.

Re: Landing Comparison B744, A380 and B748F

I know landing in the CRJ's, especially the -700 and -900, I often fly the approach with 2-3 degrees negative in order to loose altitude from the ILS intercept and maintain visual on the runway. In the smaller jets, we often fly shorter approach patterns putting us closer to the airport at intercept altitude. So I don't think it's uncommon for a jet to have negative pitch on approach.
