Re: Report your zinc-rot affected models please!

Moved on the "General Squawk Talk" section because this problem affects 1:500 like 1:400 models.

Many Herpa models starts to have bubbles on the paint along the fuselage, but not cracks.
Instead i noticed some problems with my 1:400 models: while it could be normal that a wing or part of the tail section (very often the horizontal stabilizer) exit from their place (so you need just some glue and everything is ok) it is not normal that the little part that inserts the horizontal stabilizer on the fuselage is completely destroyed, dissolved, like eaten, and some Gemini models have this problem, like if something is dissolving everything of the metal alloy.
Then i have found cracks on the wings and the fuselage of my Transavia B737-700WL!

IronEsgle1232 is flying under the radar
Re: Report your zinc-rot affected models please!

So sorry for reviving a 4 year no commented thread but I have today noticed my prize 1/400 possession has the symptoms of Zinc Pest
Has anyone heard of Gemini Jets Virgin Atlantic Concorde having this issue?
I've searched the forums and various threads and even completed and currently active ebay listings to see if this model has been known for it.
I've only seen 1 completed listing on ebay with similar issues but no one I have seen has mentioned this model.

Does anyone know if this is an effected model?
I am absolutely gutted!
