Hallmark Christimas ornaments

I am not sure if anyone else out there collects these or not, but Hallmark just came out with their 2009 Christimas ornaments yesterday. The reason I mention this is due to the fact that among the different series that they offer is an airplane collection.

This airplane collection is going into its 13th year now and this year's aircraft is the Cessna 310. The aircraft is well done just like the others. At this point, Hallmark has concentrated on the older private aircraft from the 1930s', 40s' and 50s' along with some historical aircraft.

I personally like the collection and find the detail and accuracy of these ornaments to be very good. Any way, just thought I would bring this to your attention.

Have a nice day

I have one of these from last year - Ercoupe 415-D. The scale is nearly 1:800. Nice plane.

It can't be 1:800 because it's bigger than most of my 1:500 airliners.......possibly 1:250.

Re: Hallmark Christimas ornaments

I like these models, too. Nicely detailed. MUCH bigger that 1:800! This year's model is my third. Some of the older planes are going for close to $100 now. The pic is this year's Cessna 310 next to Herpa's 1:500 MD-11.
