135ER. It's 1/2 down, half next month (I've reserved the gates I want and will operate in the red for a while.)

Since I'm not currently able to post to the other board for some reason, I'm going to put this up here for now -

Tomorrow (21 Dec) I may be looking to acquire another plane. To do it I'm considering selling a J-31, Age 0. This plane cost me $7,500,00 new. In order to do what I want to do I need $6,500,00 from it. Sale would be just before the month flip (which is either 9:13 or 10:13 EST. I can't remember.) I would also be willing to substitute one of the 1900s, but of course they're 5 years old and not worth $6.5M. I do note that right now only 2 of the many 1900s for sale are under that figure. I guess it's all about supply and demand.

In my opinion, the EMB-120 is not the best aircraft when upgrading. I think it sucks personally speaking.

Agreed. The Do-328 is better for a little more money. Two more seat, way more range and lower operating costs. Of course, the other philosophy is to buy what you can when you've decided a buy will be made. And anything is better than the starter planes, particularly in terms of passenger capacity. My goal is going to be to get planes I have to stretch for - by waiting until the last day of a month, tweaking routes, etc. It works best if you've identified a fallback option though, so you're not left with nothing if it doesn't work out. That's how I got the 135. I rented some gates to experiment and fell short of the money needed for the 140.

Last time I signed up to play on AE I planned to fly out of ANC to smaller Alaska markets. It wasn't until after I joined that I found out that there weren't any cities I could fly to from ANC. So before I start this again can someone tell me if the following airports are on Airline Empires?

Santa Barbara, CA
San Luis Obispo, CA
Fresno, CA
Bakersfield, CA
Monterey, CA

Thanks in advanced!

I couldn't help but get a laugh when I realized your avatar is Southwest and you had posted the above. Between this and the unavailability of your chosen airports, "You Are Not Free to Move About the Country" in AE.

BTW, I hear CA can be tough for making money. Gets saturated quickly I think.

Yeah I decided to start flying out of Austin, TX and get on some of the inter-Texas routes. But whenever I go to start a new route the only destination available is Austin. I know I can fly to San Antonio and maybe Houston and Dallas on the B1900. So the distance isn't an issue. Anyone know what's up with this?

I'll admit, I made a nice wheelbarrow of cash on my FreedomLOT Intra-Texas routes from last round. You might also wanna look at the OK state as well. This might sound like a stupid question, but did you remember to lease gates at the other two cities? You need to lease (or buy) gates in order to operate those routes.

That would be why.

I wish they would add Akron Canton airport in Ohio.
