Emma 'Maersk was new in 2007 and had a nominal capacity of 11.000TEU (though we had voyages with more. Recall a "celebrated" top voyage which left with 15.010TEU).
But compared to todays capacities she comes along rather small.
The just recently launched HMM Algeciras for example has almost 24.000TEU's nominal capacity.

But at least Emma still looks nice than those ships of today. Not a fan of the Bridge at the front and these ugly funnels to be honest.
WOW, 400 meters long x 60 meters wide, i did not know about HMM Algeciras. I always thought Maersk "Triple E" class ships were the largest. Then i noticed they have the same length (Algenciras and Maesk, 400 meters) but Mc-Kinney Moller has 18.270 TEU while Algenciras 23.820 TEU capacity.
What do you think of the MSC Seaview? Amazing, isn't she?
I know you love this

You have even 2 Sorts of Triple E. I think for example that Maersk Mc Kinney is different than Murcia Maersk. But also OOCL, CMA CGM, MSC and others have larger tonnage meantime.

MSC Seaview is not mine, I dont like these mega cruise ships, they dont have any soul anymore and dont look really like ships.

Prefer nice looking old Ladies like the QE2 or the France, they looked best. Also old Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth were lovely. Real ships...

Titanic rules, i understand.
I also collected old transatlantic liners but then i focused on current cruise ships.
