Favorite Aircraft

I'm not sure if this is the correct thread for this post so if it is not please free to move it.

I was just curious what aircraft variant all of you would consider to be your favorite, and if there is a particular air frame that you never cared for but has grown on you over time.

For me I'd Have to say that my all time favorite airplane is the 737-200. I love the "guppy" and I think she looks beautiful in any Livery. A very close 2nd would be the 747-100/200. The classic queen is just simply elegant and inspiring. 3rd place is a toss up between the 707 and DC-10. This is where my question about not really liking a particular aircraft but falling in love with it over time comes in. Up until recently 3rd place would have gone to the Boeing 707 hands down, but I recently have fallen in love with the DC-10 and I have no idea why lol. I just think the DC-10 is a beautiful and a wonderful bird.

Re: Favorite Aircraft

1. Definitely the 747-8 for sheer aesthetics, even though the -400 is the one that I have the most respect for due to the sheer dominance of the skies for 20 years.
2. Probably the A340-600, I have no idea why, I really am not a fan of the dc-8 and the a346 isn't all that different but for some reason, I just really, really like the look of it.
3. Difficult, I used to think the DC-10 was a brute of a plane compared the MD-11 and it is, but I think that's why I like it. Esp in the chrome liveries like AA, TK and SR. It must be the fact that the DC-10 outlived the MD-11 in so many fleets (Like AA) that shows how robust the construction was, even though the MD-11 was similar, it wasn't produced at the right time. So overall, it must go to the MD-11 for beauty but DC-10 for reputation and consistency.

Re: Favorite Aircraft

My favorite have always been the 747. Favorite variant being the 747-400, closely followed by all the Classic variants. The 747-8 is my least favorite.

2nd place would be the MD-11.

My other favorites: 777, 767, 757, 727, 707, DC-8, DC-10, L-1011...

Re: Favorite Aircraft

Hm, very difficult one, since there are so many Beauties.

Classic Jumbo being very much at front, also goes for VC 10, a true Classic. My car even has the number Plate VC 10.

I like almost all Classic Aircraft, not a fan of plastic planes.

Forgot to add the A330 to my list. Another bird I never had much favor for but has grown on me a lot over the years

Hola, I've returned after about 6 years!

My rather boring and questionable taste:

1. Airbus A321-232/3
2. Boeing 757-200 (when fitted with RB211-535E4/B's of course)
3. Douglas DC-9
