In response to Tigerair:
Gemini Jets
1:400
British Air World Color Livery
All vintage livery- i.e. United, Continental Meat ball, old Lufthansa, Old Quantas (Kangaroo with wings), Old Alitalia, Old JAL, Korean Airlines, Original SAS, Original Air France... anything before this whole "name of airline on a white fuselage stuff..."

Oh!!! and don't forget the "Frontier" wild life livery! They are absolutely beautiful. Best I have seen on ANY airline!!!

I am being honest so please don't make fun of my preferences, please...

Great choices Fokker! I admire the 1:400 Gemini's and the vast selection they offer but had to make a decision when I started to collect as to what scale and manufacturer I would go with. You know how expensive this hobby can be at times! At one time I was seeking a CP Air "Empress of Asia" C-FCRA 747-217B GJCDN070 but could not for the life of me find one at a retailer, and every time I attempted an eBay transaction, would get defeated at the last moment. Eventually, I got a hold of a CP Air "Empress of Canada" 747-217B C-FCRB 55143 by Dragon Wings, and at that point decided to only collect DW's in the 1:400 scale. My vast collection of 1:400's consists of only 5 pieces.
Do you collect any 1:500's?

That is interesting.

I made a comment under the Brady regime at W900 accusing them of being like North Korean Leaders, and thus oppressing the members. Unfortunately I was suspended for doing so!

Wooji...forgeddabouit...

Tiger,

I collect planes and not scales, so if there is a plane that I REALLY want, then I get it regardless of maker. I actually started out with herpas and Schabaks (before all these new entrees) but no longer collect Schabaks depsite the fact that Schabaks probably carries more planes than any body else. I now lean toward Gemini and Starjets. I have broken a plastic wing on Dragon Wings and the Dragon wings wheels keep on falling off. (I lost a few wheels, not the landing gear) I don't really care for the "screw on" wings on the aeroclassics.

My mom always says, "what are you going to do with all these planes when you get sick of them?" and my reply is "sell them on e-bay..." and she goes "good luck..." Oh well...I will have a garage sale on W900 of my couple hundred planes... (I know I am not the only plane junkie out there...)

By the way, look what you started Tigerair... All these people who were getting excited with the posts are gonna go "what the..."

If you want more "controversy" go listen to EMINEM.

C.F.N. (ciao for now)

I look forward to your 'garage sale'. Bet you got a few good ones stashed away! Any really old Herpa's....I would love first crack at them...like an old colour Fedex DC10...lol

Yeah, I know I'm getting off 'topic', but after all, I wanted to get to know 'the collector' behind the controversy so to speak. I guess we all don't agree from time to time, but when we get down to brass tacks, all of us here on the forums have at least one thing in common....that being our cool hobby!

There are 38,000 plus American troops in the Korean peninsula, 43 million South Koreans, plus 200 million plus Japanese and a 1,000,000,000 (yes, that is a billion) plus Chinese not too far away. (If there is a war in Asia, say goodbye to Dragon Wings, Gemini Jets, Star Jets, Jet Xs, Aeroclassics and all the Chinese made Herpas. US should take care of Palestine and Israel before they go "oriental."

God forbid if there is a war in the Korean peninsula, I guarantee it would be over within a week! What makes you think SOUTH KOREA doesn't have nukes, huh?

I say if we do anything about North Korea, it better be diplomatically. It was only a matter of time before other countries started to make nukes, guess Bush got it wrong in thinking it was Iraq...
