Yes, it seems the flight will be cut in April. Too bad!
At least there's a hope: this cancelling will leave FOR and REC without direct service to Italy. It's time to Neos and Blue Panorama jump in!

Re: Thomas Cook A321 1/500

Here's another Thomas Cook leased airframe, this time an A320-200, reg. LY-VEL, white livery with Sun Hearth and titles, 1/500 scale. The real machine started life at Spanair in 2003, as EC-IOH, wore Star Alliance colors and left in January 2012, then to Livingston (2nd) from June 2012 to October 2014 as EI-EUB "Città di Luino" (I've also made a custom of this one ). Since December 2014 she is flying with Avion Express, being subleased to Thomas Cook in 2016 (March - November) and 2017 (April - November) for the high season.

Re: Thomas Cook A321 1/500

Let's see if this model will come back in 2018. I like these hybrid planes, so naturally this one is lovely as well!

Polish wings 1/500

I decided to unite all my Polish airliners customs in one thread, because all my older threads pictures cannot be seen, but I'll start with the four new ones I just finished, the older ones will gradually be added.
The first of the newest finished is a LOT 737-400, reg. SP-LLC, golden livery with "Common Task" stickers, 1/500 scale. The real machine was delivered to LOT in July 1993, painted in Golden livery with special stickers to celebrate the 80th anniversary of LOT in 2009, then received the Common Task project stickers. She left the fleet in March 2013. From May to July 2013 she flew for Moldavian Airlines. In July 2014 was converted to freighter since then is operated by Southern Air, first as N495SA, then as N306GT. The donor was the 80th annyversary plane with carefully removed titles and stickers, then applied the new ones and added few extra details. If you want to know more about Common Task project: Open Art Projects - Common Task

The second is a LOT Charters 737-400, reg. SP-LLK, 2009 colors, 1/500 scale. LOT Charters was founded in 2009 as a charter airline flying for tour operators, using planes taken from its parent compay LOT. It flew a total of six 737-400, two of which wore the full livery (SP-LLE and SP-LLK), the other four painted in Centrawings livery with LOT Charters titles. It should have ceased operations by October 2013 since LOT removed the 737-400 from the fleet, but continued flying using planes from the mainline. The real machine had a busy life, began her carreer at Turkish Airlines as TC-JED "Bodrum", in April 1993. Then from Feb to Oct 1999 was part of Futura as EC-HAN, from Oct 1999 to Jul 2000 as SU-PTA at Pharaoh Airlines, from Aug 2000 at Virgin Blue as VH-VGB, from Oct 2002 at Air One as EI-CZG, from Jun 2008 at Centrawings as SP-LLK, from Jun 2009 at LOT and from Aug 2009 to Nov 2012 flew for LOT Charters. Her last operator was Shaheen Air, with reg. AP-BJT, from May 2013, and was put in storage in Oct 2015.

The third is a Polnippon Cargo Il-18D, reg. SP-FNB, 1991 colors, named "Agata", 1/500 scale. Polnippon Cargo was a rather unknown airline, founded in 1990 as a Polish-Japanese joint venture freight carrier using a pair of ex-Interflug Il-18Ds (SP-FNB and SP-FNC), flew freight services exclusively between Poland and Japan until 1996, when it was renamed Polonia Airways, its planes reregistered (SP-FNW and SP-FNZ) and changed its focus of operations mainly to Africa and Mideast. Seems Polonia Airways ceased operations in 2000.

The last but not least is a LOT Ju-52/3m, reg. SP-AKX, 1/500 scale. LOT received its Ju-52/3m in November 1936 and began normal pax services in early 1937. At the outbreak of WW II she flew to Bucharest, together with several other planes. LOT tried to sold her - together with the other planes - to Imperial Airways (as G-AGAE), but it was taken over by Romanian authorities, reregistered YR-ALK only in 1942. The model presented some challenges, on top of them was scratchbuilding and painting the wheel covers seen on many civilian Ju-52s. The results are really fantastic, I'm really in love with this tiny gem and for sure will create more, because on my list there are those that flew for Brazilian airlines!!!

Re: Polish wings 1/500

Simply amazing work Sérgio! Very interesting subjects!
The 737-400 SP-LLC had one of the most beautiful liveries ever. That golden livery was simply mindblowing
The Polnippon is also amazing, never heard of this company.

The details on the Junkers are incredible! Really a joy to see. I suspect these ones will join the nice Polish collection of Tomek?

Re: Polish wings 1/500

The Lot Charters 737-400 is my favourite amongst the batch. The livery is a cool take on the standard LOT livery.
