Re: PT-TAA 1/400 scale Customs.

Here's something unusual, two models of the same plane from different carriers finished and published together: an Airtours International Airways and a MyTravel Airways A330-200, registered G-MLJL, both in Airtours' 1995 colors. The real plane was delivered new to Airtours on June 1999; she went to MyTravel on May 2002, and operated with Airtours hybrid livery until March 2005, when she got MyTravel's full livery. Went to Thomas Cook Airlines on November 2007 and operated for Thomas Cook Scandinavia on three occasions: Oct 2008 - Jan 2009, Oct 2009 - Jan 2010 and Dec 2011 - Mar 2012. Leased to Garuda Indonesia between Sep and Nov 2012. She wore the same registration for all her career and operated Thomas Cook last ever flight (MCO - MAN), withdrawn from use and stored on September 2019.

Re: PT-TAA 1/400 scale Customs.

Interesting birds! I like the "Airtours" better
Although the full MyTravel livery (the orange one) was fantastic aswell!

What happened to the UK leisure airlines??!!
It seems only TUI and Virgin are alive

Re: PT-TAA 1/400 scale Customs.

Nice birds Sergio. I think the oldest Airtours livery was the best, the one that was worn by their MD80's.

Indeed Leo, you are Right....and that is what I miss so much compared to my childhood/youth times. So many variations of airliners and Airlines. I mean, alone in UK you could easily tell in mid / end 80ies About 30 Airlines. Nowadays you have Feeling it is BA, EasyJet, Virgin....that's it.

But that goes for all countries, especially in Europe I think. While other Areas, like Asia went from 1 or 2 carriers to masses, Europe turned it other way round. Think alone About all the charter Airlines, not only, but also UK. Brtitannia, Orion, Airtours, Paramount, Monartch, Cymru, Amber, Intereuropean etc etc. Sad, but times are gone for ever….

A pair of 737-200Advs, both of European Aircharter! The first is registered G-CEAD, 1993 colors. Other than the regs, there's a small detail difference between them, guess which?

So interesting to see the white wings and white engines... I mean, all the parts of the engine!

The stripe at the tail doesn't pass through the rear cargo door of G-CEAE, but it does pass through on the G-CEAG

I was surprised to see this too, so I had to left the rear parts white.

It gives me great joy watching all your customs. It would be great if you can share a time lapse image of the entire process from start to end whenever time permits.

Thanks for your appreciation! However, time lapse images or videos aren't unlikely to happen: I don't have a suitable tripod, etc, and, more important, time is a matter, I even decided to stop writting the planes histories, I'll just post the images...

Beautiful world tail 737s Sergio! Shame BA's legacy with the 737 has ended now, as their livery always suited the plane very well. I remember the 737-400s shuttling to Gatwick from AMS! Now we get Airbuses all day everyday, with a 787 mixed in to LHR
