Wood model Pros/Cons

I'm considering buying a 1/147 scale wood model. What are the pros and cons of wood models?

Wood is lightweight, so it's pretty easy to work with

Re: Wood model Pros/Cons

Most wood models are in flight mode (no landing gears).

You may want to check out this company, Unique Models and Collectables - custom-made in the Philippines but business is based in Sydney. They are not cheap, but they pay great attention to details. They can do it in any airline liveries, as well as having a landing gears down version.

I ordered a Singapore Airlines A380 for around US$280, and turnaround time is about 8 weeks. It's near completion and they sent some pics for my review recently. I went back to them on some errors and they are correcting them now.

Re: Wood model Pros/Cons

I have some wood scale models in my collection, telling the truth I didn*t create them, they are the gifts from my cousin, nevertheless they are quite nice, so if you want to have such ones in your collection, I advise you to thy this one! by the way, I think the model you are planning to buy is worth being bought and added to the collection)
