'Back heavy' model advice (1/100)

Does anyone have any experience in weighting down a model? I have added landing gear to a KLM F100 1/100 model which was meant for a stand only. The back end of the model carries a fair bit of weight which means the model tips up when placed on a flat surface.

One idea I thought of was to create a bigger hole where the stand slots in and then put some weighted metal inside and slide to the front (seeing the fuselage is hollow anyway)

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

That seems unusual for a Fokker 100?

Re: 'Back heavy' model advice (1/100)

That's cause the tail and engines in the back are heavy
Try getting some cement like powder through the front wheel and then drop water in it to stabilize the weight.

Yeah, it sure is the tail and engines are the heaviest part as when I remove those it sits level okay.
Will try your idea Alexakos

Thanks :-)
