Time to buy some models...

This just popped up on Yahoo Japan - that's 17 diecast Del Prado models for the price of one or 2 Herpas.

Plus shipping, of course.

They're not 1:500 though... apart from the LH A340.

The Jordanian Tristar is, and so is the Lockheed Connie.

...Plus since when do most of you only focus on a single scale?

Well actually most of us do focus on a certain scale but that doesnít mean that we donít collect other scales from time to time.

The point is: AFAIK it's not right to post other scales in the "1:500 Scale Discussion" section })

Crikey! It's the scale rozzers!

Re: Time to buy some models...

Honestly, the old Del Prados are pretty much a hodgepodge of scales from the "whatever fits we'll ship" school that the entire collectibility of the planes go out the window - it is kinda annoying that the L1011-500 is 1:500, but their SQ DC-10-30 is a 1:400. I bought a Del Prado Mirage III while vacationing in Paris about 4 years ago - clearly marked as 1:125 and a Mirage IIIc - turns out it was a Mirage IIIE at 1:136. it kind stuck out when placed next to my 1:144 models.

I won a recent auction for the Jordanian Tristar...which comes in a lot with the 1:200 Fokker 50 (goes with my 1:200 Boeing 717), the 1:300 AirBerlin 737-800 (which will pair with my ANA A320) and a 1:350 Tuploev Tu-144 (which will go with my blahtastic Herpa 1:400 Air France Concorde).

Maybe, but the site is divided into Forums and each forum regards a scale so it would better to put each scale in the right forum, even to avoid confusion.
If you want to post a thread regarding more scale you can use the General Squawk Talk section or, better, All Other Scales section (in your thread there are from 1:125 to 1:500 scale).
Thanks.

Hold on. Let me just rephrase the original posting?

"3 1:500 scale models for sale, followed by 14 other pieces of diecast dog turds that some with an discerning eye " might" mistake for being planes of other scales...for free!"
