Yes, the huge seam under the tail is the biggest problem...

Both models are great.
Pan Am is my favourite B747 made by Herpa

I could help you if you'd like to do your own similar airport.
It is not as complicated as you probably think

Michal, you have wonderful and clear pictures, very nice models and a lovely diorama! Keep up with the great work!

Not only the seam, but the lack of nose gear doors and the too high cockpit window. But overall, it's a beautiful model!

Of course they can! However, this is one of Herpa's poorest moulds IMO...

Re: Michal's collection

CHAPTER THREE.

THE BACKBONE OF THE WORLD'S LONG HAUL FLEET: BOEING 777.

Get ready to watch some older models again! - because majority of my wide-bodies came from old producers.
The reason is simple, some years ago there was much more variety in the world of 1:500 scale.
Apart of contemporary "detail-naked" Herpas and "ugly-geared" Skies500 many other B777 models were being made.
Aeroclassics, really awesome 1:400 manufacturer, was producing beautiful models also in our scale.
Legendary Starjets was doing a good job too...
Nice watching!

So, here we go:
The one of the brightest stars among my "triple sevens": United Airlines N772UA of Aero 500.
I love this old United "Blue Tulip" livery! What a pity it is not used anymore...

Thanks Leonardo.
The words like these motivate me to further effort

And, it seems to me a bit strange, but I must agree with you about the above models...

Loved the tulip livery and the B777 was no exception. It really suits the bird. Very impressive model!
