06/2019 herpa update (posted by Eurojet): According to Mr. Borgmann, the production of Iran Air Fokker 100 and Avianca Airbus A318 has been started after the moulds have been repaired. They should hit the shops in autumn.
10/2019 herpa update (posted by Peter Vosen in Wings News 2019): The models of the Iran Air Fokker 100 (530224) and the Avianca A318 (530088) are in production.
12/2019 Avianca retires its final Airbus A318

I wouldn't mind if Herpa changed the Avianca A318 to an A320 in current livery

would be a much better release.

I know, this is too far fetched and would infuriate those who actually want the A318.

All the effort they did to find that damned A318 mould again, and you want them to waste 4 years?!

Let's hope they'll do the Air France A318 before 2024!

Herpa is already late with production of Avianca A318, so they have to hurry up with LOT E175.

LOT plans to retire all their E170 and E175 between 2020-2023.

This will be the new Herpa box layout from now on, including regular releases.

My favorite Herpa layout was the old one (post-OG era), when the box was totally closed and the picture of the plane was very big, right in the front.

For those who want to send pics to Herpa to have a free 1:500 model, it seems the days are gone now! Seem to be a cost-cutting measure, I guess.

My guess is that the photo on the box side isn't present either (Charter could check this for us, please?

Let's hope this reduces the amount of broken landing gears you find only AFTER purchasing a model..

I like it. As said before it’s much easier to detect damaged landing gear. It’s also much easier for Herpa’s and retailer’s quality checks.

All fairs and events by Herpa have been cancelled until further notice.
The (physical) Herpa Store and the Herpa museum at Herpa-HQ are also closed until further notice.

I don't think we'll see new releases announced any time soon, but I'll be happily proven wrong!
