re: Crazy Price on eBay
For a common 1:500 release, yes that is ridiculous!

That kind of price is crazy they won't get it, they can post it with whatever price they feel comfortable with so, if they puts about 30 of those Air Canada A330's he may get a bidder.

The guys in Hong Kong routinely charge almost double the normal prices on eBay...it's amazing people still buy from them.

That's what really chaps me about the Hong Kong folks...they charge an exorbitant amount in shipping...and then the package arrives and they actually paid like 10% of what they charged you.

A Herpa/Lysia Fedex A310 sold for nearly £155 recently.
It was Buy It Now and I'd been watching it for ages hoping the seller would come to his senses and relist at a reasonable price-little did I know there was someone senseless enough to buy it!

There's one more thing that bothers me just as much: none of them accept returns. If you're on the other side of the world and the model arrives in pieces, then what do you do?

This is crappy... I recently bought an EVA 777-300ER from a Hong Kong seller. I opened up a new account because i was using a new paypal account. The seller sent me a model that is full with scratches. I told him the model is not acceptable. He told me to blame Herpa and Eva air for letting this model on sale. It's not his responsibility!! He said no return or refund!! Does it mean I can send someone a broken model next time? and tell him blame herpa?

Yes, you can, but you can not blame Herpa and you need to say, that it is broken. The buyer needs to know, that it is broken, before he buys it. Also, if you bought it on ebay, and there wasnt written that it is broken, they have a system called "Buyer protection". You can tell ebay, that it is broken and they block his paypal and ebay account...
