This is a real pity!
Although i do not have many classic airliners in my collection, there a plenty of colorful possibilities on this aircraft type that could join my collection!

That will be a mistake I think. There's so many liveries they could cover.
I haven't purchased many Herpa models lately, but I have been buying plenty of 1/400 scale L1011's by NG Models as they are happy to produce classic liveries.

What could i say without sounding the usual boring/polemic? In my opinion this is a mistake by Herpa, being the Tristar one of the most beautiful moulds and having so many models to be produced.

Wait and see, not sure if it is totally dead.

First will be interesting to see which airlines will be produced on the announced series.

Re: Herpa Wings News 09/10 2021

Guess Allan refers to American International.
Both would be a waste, since both exist already in NG.

I could imagine it could be Gulf Air and Royal Jordanian.

Definitely not Royal Jordanian, because they used to have the newer version of the plane which is the L1011 500 which has a shorter fuselage and bigger wingspan, while Herpa is producing models lately for the old version of the Tristar only.

The last time Herpa used the mold of the Tristar L1011 500 was almost 14 years ago

I really wish Herpa produce the Royal Jordanian using a new updated mold, its one of my top wanted models.

I have not attended it, the Powerpoint presentation is not avaiable yet. Will check back.

Update: the next Tristar model will be Eastern Air Lines. The third and last model will be a modified mould, "the last operational Tristar". So I guess this will be the Stargazer ?

Another Eastern??? There were already 5 made 2x bare metal ones (polished and chrome) by StarJets and 3x (one BEA hybrid) by Inflight 500... At least the Stargazer would be a great one.

Does anyone know if the British airways a350-1000 533126-002 will have additional details? Or just the same amount as 533126-001?
