The "problem" is: consider among "models of the year" those announced for the year or those actually produced and delivered along the year?
Because we can be happy for models "announced" but then a model must be checked and held in hand. The majority of the models announced for 2020 have not been produced, even because of Covid-19 pandemic, so we can't decide if a model announced for 2020 is good or bad; for this reason i consider "models of the year" just those delivered in the year 2020, even if belonging to 2019 and/or 2018 lists.

Little too early for me.. it's hard to 'predict' whether a model will look good, especially if it's produced by Herpa.

For me, the date of delivery at my home counts. So the last Expo A380 came with the second December wave, but did not arrive with me until January. For me, the model is also a 2020 model.

There is a great difference of delivery all over the world. You're right, it is difficult to understand what model for what year.
In fact, if and when these models will be released, what year for them???

I think it's important to at least wait and see how the models turn out.

The BA A350-1000 sounded very promising, until Herpa f*cked up the model. So a model that sounds promising doesn't mean it'll turn out in a good way!

Among these models there is one that could be a winner: Malev B767-300.
In my opinion Malev has been one of the mopst interesting and beautiful liveries of the sky and i am really curious to check the B767-300.


Also if i really hope Herpa will be ready to deliver the two most serious pretenders for the title:
Aeroflot A350-900
Neos B787-9.

The Malév B767-300ER is such a fantastic model. It could be the model of the year for me, even if I don't collect models from the past.

Malev B767-300 is amazing, but even Alitalia DC-10 and KLM Cityhopper E190 are beautiful.
