Re: Herpa March-April 2021 news predictions.

I must think well because civil aviation world is in continue (unfortunately BAD) evolution because of Covid-19.
Even Herpa is and will be affected by these changes, especially for airlines problems and Herpa marketing vision of the future.

Re: Herpa March-April 2021 news predictions.

oh...has it been two month already? losing track of time....

i think for the next releases it depends how far ahead Herpa's planning goes...it may very well happen, that they will release planes that are not in that particular fleet anymore or the airline may even not exist anymore.

I'm always up for an A350 or A321 in a livery that hasn't happened before. Maybe some retro liveries or even classic models.

No specific prediction here.

Air Malta, A320 Neo special colours - no further explanations - see my last predictions ;-))

Lufthansa A320 Neo Hauptstadtflieger - it's a Lufthansa, it's a special livery - they also made that "yes to Europe" one, and it's a Neo

Lufthansa Cargo B777 with Cargo Human Care livery - once again, a Lufthansa - to state the obvious...

Some A350 / B787 "plastic" aircraft

A one off exotic/historic and unpredictable model

Re: Herpa March-April 2021 news predictions.

I hope the trend continues to include 2-3 historic airplanes from the US and/or Latin America.
Why not
UA 727-100 Saul Bass,
Aero Peru DC-8

and

MX 727-200 gold stripe?
Hinted at before, as limited editions, they would sell out

I've been told by my supplier that a Blue Islands ATR 72 is to be released next summer, but I haven't been given an exact date. Too bad that I've just ordered a custom one! :)

Not saying it’s not going to happen but why would your supplier know over some of the more well connected people who post here and elsewhere, especially over half a year in advance if it’s coming next summer...

astra-airlines 11-21-2020 02:22 PM

The supplier in question (buckiemodelcentre) has commissioned the model from Herpa for next summer, hence this isn't public knowledge yet.

mike21 11-21-2020 02:41 PM

Be really nice but i can't see it to be honest. And isn't it down to the airline anyway?

If real, this is a wonderful news, especially for those collectors using regional airports.
If the retailer ordered the model directly from Herpa i wonder if It will be also sold at normal network

I clarified it with Buckie Model Centre. Herpa are interested to possibly make BlueIslands and Loganair models and he is trying to get the airlines to give permission. To date he has had no reply from the carriers. Nothing will happen without their permission. And there is no “commissioned” models waiting to be released. There is a vague intention and interest but it’s just the beginning.
