F-Toys ANA Wing Collection 4 - I heard you like 767s...

Alright, so in this quick survey, let's take a look at ANA Wing Collection 4 dating back to Mid-2012, which contains 9 planes, of which 5 out of the 9 models are 767-300s. When you consider that the entire F-Toys library has only 13 767-300s, this accounts for almost 40% of the entire library.

So here's a survey view of all 9 models:

They are placed in roughly the order of the entire series.

Now, there are some less-than-kind things said in the past regarding the F-Toys 767 line. I personally think that the mold is fine, but the finishing is the issue here, and in a way, some of the older productions are better than their early ones, and their later output has some serious cost-cutting done that made them a little less desirable.

For example, here is a look at JA619J, which is a winglet equipped 767-300ER. This is the S, or special release model of ANA WC4. It is the ANA counterpart to JAL's JA616J.

Here's a look of it compared to #1, or "dope nose", the 767-300ER in my possession with the v1decals DigitalSilk decal applied:

Here it is by itself:

The landing gear seems substantially better than the current 767 gear efforts.

The winglets also have the ANA logo printed, which looks pretty sharp.

Alright, let's have a quick look at all of the other 8 planes.

#1 - JA805A, Boeing 787-8 ANA Dreamliner EIS colors. Possibly one of the best plane in the series.

#2 - JA751A, Boeing 777-300. Decent.

#3 - JA606A - ANA Fly!Panda scheme (to commemorate 20 years of ANA flying to China)

#4 - JA8286 - ANA/Allex Cargo plane (this is a Boeing 767-300ER/BCF, and the splotch in the back is a very stylized world map with japan on the red dot, all made to resemble a sprinting greyhound. Allex is short for "All Express" and is a joint venture between ANA, Kinetsu World Express, Nippon Express, MOL Express and Japan Yusen. JA8286 is nearly 31 years old but still flying.

#5 - JA602A - 767-300 in the classic Mohican scheme.
This is rather ironic since the Mohican scheme was RETIRED with the 767-200 EIS into the ANA fleet back in 1983, so no 767s ever flew with the Mohican scheme. This plane is no longer with ANA - it was instead transferred to Air Do along with its stablemate JA601A (which will appear on JATC3)

#6 - JA603A - 767-300ER in ANA/Japan Endless Discovery colors (the official logo of the Japan national tourism organization). Out of the 3 possible models for this plane (JA603/610/613A), only JA610A remains with ANA. JA603A was converted into a freighter and flies for AllEx, and JA613A is with Air Do.

#7 -JA10AN - Boeing 737-700ER ANA Business Jet

Ah yes, possibly one of the rarest plane in the ANA fleet - the 737-700ER (only 2 made - JA10/13AN) was a range extended version of the 737-700 that was based on the BBJ1 (Boeing Business Jet 1). The plane had its range effectively extended by 50% to allow for non-stop missions like Tokyo to Mumbai on a 9 hour non-stop flight. With only 38 business class seats, that would've been like a "business jet". It's too bad that the plane only flew for less than 10 years before both were scrapped. The Tokyo to Mumbai flight (which did use the 737-700ER) are now performed by the 787-8s.

#8 - JA53AN - Boeing 737-800 Triton Blue

Bog standard 737-800 in ANA colors. These are still flying but some of the routes are taken over by A321s and A320 Neos.

And that's all 9 planes covered.

Coming up next, the JAL equivalent, the JAL Wing Collection 4.
