The P&W looks slightly superior to me, with the exception of the engines. IRL, P&W 757s are a beautiful thing, but Herpa seems to have a hard time capturing them for some reason

Re: Comparison: Herpa vs Herpa DHL B757-200F.
They're actually both RR-powered, the one which you assigned as P&W is actually a very old (and uncommon) RB211 variant. I do agree however Herpa has issues with recreating the P&W powered 757 in 1:500. I actually tend to prefer the RB211-powered 757s IRL haha!
The gears on the old Herpa mould is far superior, despite being 'updated' later on. The wings also look better on that mould (NG1?), but the engines and tail look better on the new mould.

The older version, with NG1 mould, looks way better to me. The nose is waaay better, the gears are also better. The new mould have a weird nose (maybe not so noticeable on this particular model, but noticeable on others), the main gears should be taller and should have the bogeys closer between them.
Like Thom said, both are Rolls Royce-powered. The New model have the old version of the RB211, present on early-built 757s (specially ex-British ones).

Re: Comparison: Herpa vs Herpa DHL B757-200F.
I resume this post because it is very interesting as a lover of this aircraft.
I have dhl's "smooth" 757, and I must say it's not bad at all for its age.
I honestly refused to take the "Eliska return to africa" model as I am not sure if the dark gray on the wings is the real one of the plane and because the front landing gears are really obscene. This Herpa mold is a step back (in my opinion).
From the photos it seems that in the newer model, the front wheels are larger than in the "older" model.
The RB211 engine is objectively unwatchable on the 757 dhl, really poorly maintained.
The thing that makes me turn up my nose a little is to see that in G-BIKM, there are bubbles in the queue, I thought it was only my model to have this defect, but now .. I begin to believe that it is a generalized problem. As I have them in the same places.

Hello, does your 757 normal livery has bubbles near the tail ? I bought two of them, identical from the same seller. Both have bubbles...
