Just spotted on Facebook that they would be releasing a 1/500 Japan Airlines B787-8 JA837J "Tokyo 2020 Torch Relay" in May along with their usual of 1/200 and 1/400 releases. It's the first 1/500 release under the JC Wings brand for a while (the last one being the China Airlines A330-300?).
Personally very happy with this release! 1/500 official models are rare from Japan Airlines these days so we need to rely on these unofficial releases for any new jets. Will see if this new JC release will come with Wi-Fi dome and antenna (although I personally think the chance is thin).

There's only a 2D drawing of the jet now and they use the same one for all the 1/200, 1/400 and 1/500 version so not very helpful. Will need to wait and see how it comes out.
It's now open for pre-order at Aviation Megastore.

Rumors about the cancellation of Olympic Games also for the year 2021, i hope this model will be release the same. A JAL B787-8 is always better than nothing!

Think I read that they would still keep the name of event as "Tokyo 2020" even it's delayed till next year, so I assume JAL can keep this livery for longer.
