ANA WIng Collection 5 - March 2017 Release
Just announced on HLJ/1999/TagHobby, looks to be shipping in mid-March.
Roughly 550 Yen/40 HKD retail in Japan/Hong Kong each, box of 10 is around 45 USD not including shipping.

The quality of the Boeing 777 honestly ain't too bad, but it looks to be seen.

It seems to be more of the same to me... I thought all these models were released already

They should improve their B767-300 cockpit windows... and the landing gears in general.

Well, if you want to see the more rare stuff, that would be the Air Traffic Controller 2 line, which came out 3 months ago. Too bad they are all 1:300.



As for the landing gears...well, it's meant for a 550 Yen trade model, so I don't expect them to be museum quality. Although given some of the unboxing videos on YouTube, their quality isn't too bad. I've paid more and gotten less.

They are meant to be removable (unlike most 1:500 models) and can be displayed with an included stand. Mine usually sit in the back of the glass display case anyways.

These models should all be in 1:500... nobody collects 1:300 planes

The ATR and the Dash 8 look perfect...

Any news on the availability of this new set? Have still not seen anything of it on ebay as usually with the F-toys releases.

Give it a month or so - the official release date in Japan is March 27th. The Japanese traders dealing with this stuff usually takes a month to split the box-sets up to sell individual planes at a premium (unless you pre-order the entire box-set in advance).

I am glad to see the tow truck is back! I really liked the airstairs from before.

Well, they used to!

Nowadays there is just the trickle of Star Wars planes in plastic material selling for an arm and a leg.

Yeah it seems year by year they just kept cutting back on 1:500 models ppffffttt. But even amongst the good old ones they used to make, they are still missing a bunch of aircraft from their fleet. Really disappointing how it's so impossibly hard to complete the fleet.

The tow truck is probably there because the 737-500 in 1:500 is so tiny that they need to add something else to pad out the package. I prefer that they do the 737-500 in 1:300 form, but then they are most likely not re-doing the mold for a plane close to retirement (replacement by the Mitsu MRJ). That being said, the Japan Transport collection from 2 years ago does come with airstairs and tractors for the government VIP 777-300ER and the 747-400.
