phil8900's Collection
Hey,
after reading and enjoying many collection-threads I thought I could share my collection aswell.
Sadly I don't have a diorama to present them in and my photographic skills are very basic - but I hope you enjoy my collection anyway
Some words about me & my collection:
I started collecting only half a year ago and at the moment I only collect planes I already flew on and I'll try to keep it chronologically Airline-wise.

Re: phil8900's Collection
Okay, let's start with an airline I was a frequent passenger on when I was a kid: Aer Lingus!
Airbus A321-211 EI-CPC "St. Fergus" was in Aer Lingus' fleet from 1998 until 2011 when it was sold to Ural Airlines (still active):
Fokker 50 EI-FKE was in Aer Lingus' fleet from 1991 until 2003 when it was sold to Denim Air. Today the aircraft is active with VizionAir and registered as OO-VLF:

Re: phil8900's Collection
And the last update for today: Olympic Airlines, which flew me to greece some time ago The airline ceased operations in 2009 - after a restructuration Olympic Air was founded afterwards. Today Olympic Air is a subsidiary of Aegean Airlines.
Boeing 737-400 without registration, so no history for this one..
ATR 72-202 SX-BII was delivered to Olympic Aviation in 1993 and stayed in Olympic Airways' fleet until they ceased operations in 2009:

Re: phil8900's Collection
So far so good...
Waiting for more impatiently
Keeping fingers crossed for your thread Phil!
Michal
BTW. Do you have only Herpa models?
BTW.2 Try with slightly darker backgrounds. White models don't go well with white background
P.S. Frame the pictures, please, and zoom in the models. They are more interesting than large white background

Most of the models I own are indeed Herpa models - mainly because they are quite easy to get around here.
Thanks for your suggestions, I'll try a darker background for the next pictures And you're absolutely right about the zooming!
What do you mean by framing?

Re: phil8900's Collection
Ciao Phil welcome to Wings900 family and thanks for sharing your collection starting this interesting thread.
I always noticed you're treating OG models like NG models and this is beautiful! Too sad Aer Lingus A321 wasn't realized in NG! What about the A320, do you have it?+

Primera, Monarch, airberlin, XL Airways France, Germania, Small Planet, WOW, Aigle Azur, Sterling, Thomas Cook, Adria, Air Italy/Meridiana, Level, FlyBe, SunExpress Germany, Niki-Laudamotion, JetTime, Montenegro Airlines, CSA...R.I.P.
The sky is not the same without you!

Cropping the image. Cutting down the useless parts of the picture.

Re: phil8900's Collection
Cool first thread Keep the pics coming. Nice to see some OG as well, still own some myself BTW you can easily print an A4 foil (and a background) for taking pics, that would give your pics a more realistic look

Sadly I don't own an Aer Lingus A320..
I'll try to print a foil at some point, but time is an issue right now - nevertheless I'll try to add some pictures tomorrow

Such a rare model, I wish I could get a 2nd one to me, so I could turn it into a Copa Airlines machine...

That was among the first models I bought and I was absolutely unaware that it could be rare! It was sold super cheap on ebay..
