Surprised you went for the AeroClassics model my friend! I’m eagerly awaiting my Gemini B737-800/S in the new livery. It’s a shame the Expo model was sold out in Dubai - I hope you’re able to pick one up out there!

Why not try and get the NG version? It's about 1000x better than the toy that GJ call a model!

Well Daniel, I've been happy with Gemini's quality at present. The NG version of the United B737 looks like a great model too, but as I'm planning to build a small United fleet I generally try to get all my models in fleet from the same manufacturer. I think Gemini will overall produce more United models in the new livery than any of the other manufacturers...

Re: "Homzie's 1:400 and Beyond Speedbird Fleet and More..."

My friends, I did some shopping here in Calgary but I shopped for airplanes at an unexpected place, a tiny area in a very busy cafe near Varsity Estates Drive! There were about 20 models on a shelf ranging from Phoenix to GJ and even GJ200 WestJet...I wanted to buy more than 2 but bought just two due to baggage restrictions on WestJet as Iím due to fly out to Toronto next week on WestJet. I wanted to buy the GJ UA B738 too but the United Airlines B738 wasnít in stock.

I bought two Delta models, both by GeminiJets, both B737s, but one B738 and the other B739ER. Theyíll both be assigned flights once my Toronto Pearson project becomes a reality. Iím still looking for Emirates A380 Orange Expo A6-EOU @ Dubai Airport... I hope I can find it!

A smart pair of B737NG's you have there Homzie! Both wonderful models, but which one is your favourite? I'll look forward to seeing these in action when you get your new Toronto airport set up.

I've always liked, judging from the mish-mash numbers anyway, the 7379ER.

Thanks Cal, I really donít have a favorite one as I like both...I wanted to get Emirates B777-300ER A6-EPK (the one which was close to the EK Business Class lounge at concourse A on Monday) but since EK doesnít send B777s to Toronto, I didnít buy it. I may buy her at a later stage. I got A6-EUJ on my YYZ DXB flight..the same one which I got on EK241.

Iím still jet lagged though due to the 11 and 1/2 hours time difference between Calgary and Mumbai! I ordered the AA B738 NG and finally found the WS B737-7 (the older GJ model) on eBay. They should arrive by end of the month, my friend. Havenít seen an update from your end, hope youíre fine.

On my return to Dubai, I had 5 hours but couldnít find any Expo2020 model, hence, I ordered the Orange Expo A380 A6-EOU as soon as I came home on Monday night...

Once my Toronto airport is ready, my Emirates A380s would arrive as the 5 weekly flights from Dubai, with all A380s flying at least 5 times...the 2020 schedule is ready, my friend! Itíll be a mix of 1/200, 1/400 and 1/500 scale models.

Well Mike, I didnít have a preference as I like both...the B739 looks brilliant in your mish-mash photo. Your pics always make the models look better!

My friends, I did buy a model which I shouldíve in Calgary, but since it was out of stock, I bought it online. It landed safely this afternoon. The model is yet another B737 in new livery. Once my airport is ready, sheíll do the SFO rotation. The model Iím referring to is United Airlines B738 by GeminiJets.

Coming soon...
American Airlines B738 NG
Emirates A380 (Orange) GJ
WestJet B737 GJ
WestJet B738 NG - Nov
WestJet B789 NG - Nov

The pictures for you to enjoy...

The United B737-800/S in the new United livery is stunning - Gemini did an amazing job with this model and replicated the new colours perfectly. I hope you're as pleased with your model as I am with mine Homzie!

I'll look forward to seeing the rest of your new models arrive!

Thanks Cal, GJ did a fabulous job with the United Airlines B738, my friend, Iím very pleased with this one as I really like the new UA livery.

Cal, one more of the new arrivals landed about 15 mins ago. Sheís based in Calgary but will operate a flight to neighboring Montreal, Quebec once my airport is up and running. Sheís an old model but was well worth the wait. I was lucky to get her on eBay which I ordered from Canada! Iím eagerly awaiting the Emirates A380 A6-EOU (which will complete my Expo fleet)! Iím still waiting for your updates too, Cal.

Itís strange that I have so many B737s as there was a time when Iíd only buy heavies! I need loads of them if I want to use them on domestic flights from YYZ...I need 9 for Calgary flights itself!

I can only agree with you Homzie, the new United livery is very nice. I'm looking forward to seeing how it will look on bigger aircraft, especially their B767's and B777's! Anyway, nice to see you were able to find a WestJet B737-700 - your WestJet fleet must be getting quite substantial now? It's always important to have a good mix of narrowbodies and widebodies in a collection!

Thanks to Herpa B737-800 and B787-9 but also thanks to your pics, Westjet is becoming one of my favourite airlines.
The B737-700 is wonderful! Thanks for sharing.

The new United livery is better than expected as unlike the Lufthansa one, itís quite bright. Looking forward to your next updates featuring a few United aircrafts and of course your Delta!

My WestJet fleet is becoming substantial as I need them for my domestic flights to Moncton, NB, Halifax, NS, Montreal, QB, Regina, SK, Edmonton, AB, Calgary, AB, Winnipeg, MB and Vancouver, BC...Iím buying what I can to make up those flights, Iíll need many many many more for the complete schedules, my friend!

Wow Ale, itís a compliment coming from a legend of the hobby! Itís one of my favorite airlines too...having flown with them a few times! I really like their inflight and ground service as well as their livery (old and new)...the Herpa B738 is one of my favorite 1/500 scale models as itís so cute!

How are your updates going on my friend?

Well, a model arrived which shouldíve been available when I travelled last month! It wasnít in stock at the Dubai Airport Duty Free Emirates store so I ordered it online on my return...she joins her sisters Sustainability and Mobility in my fleet, sheís Expo2020 Opportunity A6-EOU. I was reluctant at first but Iím glad bought it as it looks quite nice.

That's a nice looking A380 you have there Homzie! I also really enjoyed the 'family photo' of the three special livery aircraft parked together! Which variation of the Expo livery is your favourite?

Thanks Cal, I really enjoyed sharing the "family" photo of the three Expo2020 bauble models. However, I actually don't have a favourite as all are wonderful, my friend and all would operate EK241/EK242 rotation at some point in time!!! If you were still collecting Emirates aircrafts, which one would you buy or would you buy all three, Cal? I haven't seen an update from your end, Cal, is everything okay???

Meanwhile, one more expected model arrived this afternoon (obviously, I wasn't at home to receive it, though)! The airline has hubs at YYZ, YYC and YVR and has 41 such aircraft and the current model is the latest one delivered to the airline in June 2005!

The airline is...WestJet and the aircraft is...B737-800 (C-GZWS) made by GeminiJets. It is an old model but you know what they say...old is gold!!! She is the 3rd WestJet B737-800 joining C-GRWG (Herpa) and C-FKWJ (GJ). She'll be joined by her sister C-GJLS (NG Models) as the 4th WestJet B738 in the fleet sometime in November!!!

The pictures are coming soon...
