T-Tail Collection

After finally getting my last two orders, I am going to share my collection of T-Tails. All are 1:400.

As of now, I do only have 5 T-Tails. I hope to buy more. A few more Delta, one more United, few American, maybe AirTran. Not sure yet as they do not fly to Lexington anymore.

Re: T-Tail Collection

The DL 900, US 200, and Allegiant came from members.

The United was from Nick's collection sale. And the 717 came from Nick. Pre-ordered it.

Re: T-Tail Collection

Just need an American Eagle and AirTran 717 before I start on my airport. Have the plans all drawn up, just waiting for a cheap Eagle to hit the market.

And thank you! Luckily some members helped me with 3 of the 5.

Re: T-Tail Collection

Great collection! I used to have both Delta Connection CRJ-900s, the CRJ-200, and the US Airways Express CRJ-200, but unfortunately, I had to sell them as I needed money I wish I'd kept them!

Re: T-Tail Collection

Thanks guys!

I'm starting a big collection of t tails because I am re-modelling my home airport. Bluegrass Airport.

Picture may be too big..

Picture's kinda old. Allegiant parks where Air Tran is now. AirTran doesn't serve the airport anymore. Behind the Allegiant to the left, there is 3 gates. These gates belong to United and American. So the CO145, should be out of frame.

Got this MD-87 today in the mail. I was very hesitate to get it, as it is in Reno Hybrid colors. But pictures don't do it justice, it's a beautiful model. Originally delivered in 1988 to CTA/Balair. Reno, then American, then AeroMexico. Last report from 2006 says it is stored at Opa Locka.

Re: T-Tail Collection

I know! Is that 1:400?! I've been looking for it, but didn't think it was in 400 scale.

They also have the 747-200, plus their private jets.

And I MUST get the horse 727 and the USA DC-9. If you go to Google Maps and zoom in on the airport, the 744, DC-9, and 727 are all sitting on the tarmac along with 3 Delta CRJ-200. But that's all LEX sees from Delta besides the rare visit from the EMB-175.

edit: I did see the 727 and DC-9 when I flew back to KY in June. The 747 was not there. Typical day.

Yes,
It's made by Magic Models. 1/400 scale. I see the Tex Sutton 727 all the time. My office window at work is THE best view in Fayette Co. for watching planes coming in and out of LEX. I will locate one for you my friend.
Btw, my wife and I were in Richmond today. Our new Accord needed it's first scheduled oil change. We walked across the bypass to Kohl's while it was being serviced. I should have tracked you down!

It's not a very popular airport for spotting, but I absolutely love it.
And you should have! What time were you there? I worked 8am to 3:30 today.

Not sure why but if you want some 1/400 or 1/200 at great values and s&h charges you should do business with them. I do
