This angle really shows it properly Mike! Great mash, now if only we could step aboard this 737 and fly away

Much thanks to you both!

One last Southwest 'mash of the Max 8 this time.

The original image created a bit of a challenge for a 'mash and a different look at an at the gate shot, so I wanted to give it a try. So here's 37-Max 8 at Kansas City.

Thanks for glimpsin' and glancin'.

Re: N3424V Collection Additions

Very nice Mike, I always enjoy your Delta 'mashes and this one is no exception with all the water vapor effects. Would you consider picking-up a Delta B767 with the winglets? That is perhaps the only thing which could make this 'mash even better!

- Cal.

Re: N3424V Collection Additions

The Southwest mash is really cool Mike, viewed from a gorgeous 737 wing featuring the old Southwest livery nicely contrasting the new MAX. The Delta 767 flying out of ZRH is also superb with the amazing condensation effects from the wing!

Re: N3424V Collection Additions

Much thanks to you both.

The trail of vapor on the Delta 67 photo required the use of a standard-tipped wing model, since the original was of that type of bird. Had I tried to use my winglet-equipped Delta 67, the vapes wouldn't have been correct. I can imagine being haunted by 767 pilots who would jump all over the 'mash saying, "Winglets don't do that!"

Sometimes, I swap winglets for non-winglets birds in static gate shots, etc., when the laws of aerodynamics won't spoil the illusion I'm trying to reach. Like you Cal, I do prefer the winglet 767.

Here's a quick and dirty classic attempt of a Braniff 720 climbing out after takeoff. The blue of the model, I thought worked well with the sky color.

Thanks for all the glancin' and glimpsin'.

Great mash Mike, it's such a shame this combination of plane and livery will no longer be plowing the skies for the New Zealand flag carrier!

Thanks again Thom.

The ANZ Black B777 is still a striking model in the collection.

Here's an attempt with another long time collection stand-by, the American B787-9, in a tight crop image.

Re: N3424V Collection Additions

Great angle Mike! The only hint that this is a model is that the gear is not in the position it would be in for the 787 on approach, as it is of course slightly angled like the A330. The flaps really make the model look like the real 787!

Re: N3424V Collection Additions

Thanks everyone.

Here's another attempt with the United B377 Stratoliner. Finding good background shots of this old bird, in a decent resolution, is difficult. There isn't much available of some of the classic airliners.

This attempt started with one with very low resolution that required work to get the background useable before the model could be added. Then the model quality isn't up to current standards either, but I gave it a try.

United B377 in flight color combo by Mike Dillard, on Flickr

Thanks for having a look-see.

Re: N3424V Collection Additions

Still came out in absolutely great quality, the graining on the model relly makes it look like the model is authentic. I think only the bright colours, such as the tail motive, hint that this is a mash
