Thanks Dudes!

Another 'mash of the blue Braniff 27. Finding B727 images that can be usable background images is tough. Dash 100s are even harder.

Thanks for all the glimpsing' and glancin'.

Looking good Mike! In my opinion Braniff's Boeing 727's always looked the best in the blue scheme shown here when compared to the various other colour schemes that these planes received.

Re: N3424V Collection Additions

The "Soft Delta" B757-200 in a mish-mash.

Among the several names for this Delta livery, I discovered the soft delta term. This indicated that in this scheme the Delta logo had a soft curved line between the red and blue colors instead of the sharp angled lines of the "widget" livery. However, when the livery was changed again the sharp angled shapes were back.

Thanks for the glimpses.

Really nice ‘mash of the classic Delta B757 Mike! This livery was always an interesting one, but the B757 looks good in almost any livery.

Re: N3424V Collection Additions

Thanks Cal! I'm considering upgrading from this long-in-the-tooth Gemini for the new NG Models release of this bird in this livery.

Going with old liveries, here's Delta's "Spirit of Delta" B767-200, widget livery on final to LAX.

Thanks for glimpsin'.

Really nice to see these classic Delta liveries Mike, they're really shining in your mashes. The flaps details in the mash is what really makes 'em great!

Given the age of this model, it still looks good in my opinion. Gemini's mould for the B757 has always been quite nice, but of course the newer and more detailed NG Models mould is sure to produce a stunning model. It would be interesting to see a direct comparison between the two models if you do go ahead and pick-up the NG Models version.

Anyway, really nice 'mash of the Delta B767-200 landing at LAX! This classic Widget livery was always one of my favourites from the era.

Thanks Fellas!

Here's a Lufthansa B737-300 'mash again. Seems I've done a lot of gate and stand attempts with this model. Here's one more on the stand at Frankfurt.

New models on the way.

Re: N3424V Collection Additions

Nice Mike, I remember seeing Bobby plenty of times at Amsterdam over the years, as well as her -500 sister. They've been replaced by sleek looking A320neos, but with mashes like these it's hard to forget their importance.

Re: N3424V Collection Additions

Much thanks Thom!

Two new models for the fleet:

My Speedbird A319 made in 2001 needed an upgrade, so here's the new Aero Classic Lufthansa A319 D-AILW in a 'mash.

Lufthansa A319 (2019 livery) combo a by Mike Dillard, on Flickr

I'm not sure it is that much of an improvement over the 19 year-old Gemini Speedbird model, but I'll keep it.

The next one, however is a definite keeper! Gemini's Air New Zealand "All Black" B777-200ER ZK-OKH. For photography work, I'm going to need to wear cotton gloves! Keeping the fingerprints and dust off this bird is going to require somewhat more care than a typical white fuselage. Not only does it look sharp, blending colors and reflections will make for some interesting 'mash challenges.

One more new model coming soon.

Thanks for the glances and the glimpses.

Re: N3424V Collection Additions

Really nice work on these 'mashes as always Mike! The way the sunlight is reflecting on the fuselage of the Lufthansa B737 is very nice indeed. The All-Black B777-200/ER of Air New Zealand is a stunning addition - I used to have the B777-300/ER equivalent and it was a spectacular model. With regards to the AeroClassics A319 - I'm not sure you'll find it to be much of an improvement over your 2001-vintage Gemini! I'd recommend you pick-up one of Gemini's current A319's if want a nice example of this aircraft - the United A319 Gemini released a few month's ago was excellent.

Re: N3424V Collection Additions

2 lovely new arrivals into your fleet Mike. It seems like the 777-200ER will be the star of many mashes to come while the A319 is also a very clean looking model in the low sun.

Re: N3424V Collection Additions

Thanks Guys.

Yes, the ANZ 777 will certainly be 'mashed often.

About a week ago Cal and I discussed a Delta B757 upgrade so, I did it. Here's the NG Models Delta 57 N650DL at LAX.

Here's last weeks 'mash again of the Gemini model built in 2004.

Thanks for glances and glimpses.

Re: N3424V Collection Additions

Very cool to compare and contrast the differences between these two models Mike! I think Gemini did a better job of replicating the polished underside, but the NG Models version is superior in almost every other way. This is perhaps hardly surprising given the 16 year age difference... Both are nice models!
